We Started With Our Own Grandmother

Faircloth began when our family couldn't find a reliable ride to get our grandmother to dialysis. Thirteen years later we run sixteen lift-equipped vans across Lee County, and every rider still gets the same care we wanted for her: a driver who comes to the door, knows your name and waits until you're inside.

Stretcher Transportation

Lying Down, With Two Attendants

When a rider can't sit for the trip, we send a stretcher van and two trained attendants who move them safely from bed to stretcher and back. It's not an ambulance and there's no medical care on board, so it's for stable riders only. For a medical emergency, always call 911.

Questions

Medical Transportation FAQ

Is this an ambulance service?

No. We provide non-emergency rides for people who are medically stable. For a medical emergency, call 911.

Does insurance pay for rides?

Some plans cover non-emergency medical rides and some don't. We take private pay and we work with a number of plans and care facilities, so call us and we'll help you check yours.

Can a family member ride along?

Yes. One companion or caregiver rides free with every booking.

How far ahead should I book?

At least a day ahead for most rides, and as early as you can for stretcher rides. We'll always try to help with same-day discharges.

What if my appointment runs long?

Call us when you're ready. For round trips we either wait nearby or come straight back.

Do you help inside the building?

Yes. Our drivers help from your door to the check-in desk, and back to your door afterwards.
