How Our Planning Is Paid For
Resort Commission
Resorts pay us a commission on the rooms your guests book, so most couples pay no planning fee.
Group Perks
Some resorts add perks for larger groups, like room upgrades or credits toward your wedding package.
Smaller Weddings
For villa weddings or groups under 20 rooms, our planning fee is agreed up front.

Destination Wedding FAQ
How far ahead should we start planning?
Twelve to eighteen months gives you the best choice of resorts and dates, and gives guests time to save. We've planned weddings in six months, but popular dates go first.
Do we pay you a planning fee?
Most couples don't. Resorts pay us a commission on the rooms your guests book. Villa weddings and very small groups have a planning fee we agree up front.
Is a destination wedding legal back home?
Rules differ by country. Many couples do a quick legal ceremony at home and a symbolic ceremony abroad. We'll walk you through the options for your destination.
How do guests book their rooms?
Through the link on your wedding page. They pick a room, pay their own deposit and call or email us with anything else.
Do guests need a passport?
For Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe, US citizens flying there need a valid passport. Some countries also ask for six months' validity, so we remind every guest early.
What if a guest can't come after booking?
Each resort has its own cancellation rules, which we explain before guests book. We recommend travel insurance and quote options with every booking.
