In-Home Tutoring in Greenwich

One carefully chosen tutor who comes to your home, knows your student well, and stays with them year after year.

Our Tutors

Fewer Tutors, Chosen Well

We work with a small group of experienced educators — former independent-school teachers, subject specialists and graduate students from leading universities. Each one is interviewed by our director, observed teaching and background-checked before meeting a family.

Then we match carefully. Subject knowledge matters, but so does temperament: the quiet ninth-grader and the restless fourth-grader need very different people.

Our Approach

Private Tutoring, Done Right

A Consultation First

An unhurried conversation with our director about your student, their school and what you'd like to change.

One Tutor, For The Long Run

The same person every week, so trust builds and no time is lost getting to know each other again.

In Your Home, On Your Schedule

Sessions fit around school, sports and family — after school, weekends or during breaks.

A Written Report Every Month

What's been covered, what has improved and what comes next, from the tutor and reviewed by the director.

Beyond The Subject

Confidence Counts Too

The students who come to us are often bright and capable, and quietly losing confidence — in one subject, or in school as a whole. A good tutor fixes the gaps. A great one also changes how a student feels walking into the classroom.

That's the tutor we look for, and the one we'll find for your family.

  • ✓Patient and endlessly encouraging
  • ✓Honest with students and parents
  • ✓Focused on independence over time

From Our Families

In Their Words

★★★★★
Our tutor has worked with both of our children for three years now — chemistry and calculus for our son, writing for our daughter. She arrives on time, knows exactly where each of them is, and has become a steady, calming presence in a very busy household.
Catherine W.Parent of two, Riverside
★★★★★
The consultation alone was worth it. The director listened for an hour, asked questions no one else had thought to ask, and matched our daughter with a tutor who understood her straight away.
James & Olivia R.Parents, 10th grade, Old Greenwich
★★★★★
Discreet, organized and genuinely excellent. We get a short written report every month and never have to chase anything.

Good To Know

Frequently Asked

What does private tutoring cost?

Rates start at $150 an hour for younger students and range to $225 for college essay guidance, depending on the subject and tutor. The consultation is free.

Do your tutors come to our home?

Yes — that's how most of our families work with us, across Greenwich and nearby Fairfield and Westchester towns. Online sessions are available too.

How do you choose a tutor for our student?

After the consultation our director selects one tutor based on subject, experience and temperament, and explains the choice. If the first session isn't right, it's free and we'll suggest someone else.

How often do students meet their tutor?

Most meet once or twice a week through the school year. Exam and admissions preparation can be more intensive for a few weeks.

How will we know it's working?

You'll receive a written report every month, and we review progress with you each term. You can call the director at any time.

Is everything kept confidential?

Yes. We never share information about your family or your student. The few reviews on this site are shared with permission, using first names only.
