Stories Brands Are Proud to Run — Commercial Video Production in Austin

Signal & Frame makes brand films, commercials, and content systems from an East Austin studio — one crew from concept through color, and footage that still looks intentional three campaigns later.

Producers Who Sweat the Brief, Crews Who Sweat the Frame

Signal & Frame runs lean on purpose: a producer who interrogates the brief until the idea is right, a director and DP who've shot together for a decade, and a post team down the hall instead of across the country. That's why our sets run calm, our timelines hold, and our clients' second project is always bigger than their first.

How We Work

The Signal & Frame Standard

Concept Before Camera

Every project starts with a written treatment and boards — you approve the idea before a single light gets rented.

Timelines That Hold

Locked shoot dates, dated post milestones, and a delivery calendar your launch can actually be planned around.

Built to Cut Down

Everything is shot with the :06 in mind — one production yields the hero film plus the library your channels need.

Honest Budgets

Line-item estimates at the first call, and a producer who tells you what to cut when the number's too big.

The Pipeline

Brief to Broadcast in Four Moves

1

Interrogate the Brief

A producer digs into what the piece is for, where it runs, and what winning looks like — then writes the treatment.

2

Pre-Produce Everything

Boards, casting, locations, and a shot list tight enough that shoot day is execution, not improvisation.

3

Shoot the Day Well

A calm, over-prepared set — cinema cameras, real lighting, and a director who protects the idea.

4

Cut, Grade, Deliver

Edit, sound, motion, and color down the hall — with review links at every milestone and masters for every channel.

Post & Color

The Polish Pass Most Footage Never Gets

Production gets the glory; post makes the money. Our editors, sound designers, and colorist work down the hall from the stage — which means footage is graded by people who stood on the set that lit it. We also grade and finish work shot elsewhere: three agencies' footage can leave here looking like one deliberate campaign.

  • In-house edit, sound & motion graphics
  • Calibrated color suite — not a laptop and a plugin
  • Finishing for broadcast, web & cinema specs
  • We grade outside footage too — bring your drives
Why Signal & Frame

Why Brands Stay After the First Project

1

One Roof, One Accountable Team

Concept, production, and post under one contract — when anything needs attention, you call one producer and it's handled.

2

Systems, Not One-Offs

We build content engines: recurring shoot days, a consistent look, and a library that keeps every channel fed between campaigns.

3

Craft You Can Screenshot

Pause any frame we deliver and it holds up as a photograph. That's the bar — and it's why the work keeps getting shared.

Clients

What the Brands Say

Signal & Frame took a brief that said 'make hardware feel human' and delivered a brand film our sales team opens every enterprise pitch with. Eighteen months later it's still the best-performing asset we've ever made — and the shoot was the most organized set I've stood on.
Priya NatarajanVP Marketing · Hardware Startup, The Domain
We came for one :30 spot and stayed for a quarterly content system. Same crew, same look, a library of cutdowns for every channel — our cost per asset dropped by half and everything finally feels like one brand.
Dale OkaforHead of Growth · Consumer Brand, East Austin
Their color work is the quiet superpower. We brought them footage from three different shoots and agencies, and it came back looking like one deliberate campaign. Nobody else in Texas touches our grade now.

Questions

Asked at the First Call

What does a brand film or commercial cost?

Social content days start in the four figures; brand films typically run mid-five; broadcast spots scale with casting and locations. You'll get a line-item estimate after the first call — and a producer who'll tell you honestly where the money matters and where it doesn't.

How long does a project take?

A social system turns first cuts in 48 hours from the shoot. Brand films usually run four to eight weeks from brief to master. Broadcast spots depend on casting and approvals — we'll build the calendar backwards from your air date.

Can you work with our agency or in-house team?

Constantly. We shoot from agency boards, hand off raw footage with clean metadata, or take just the post and color. Whatever the split, you get one producer keeping every party honest.

Do you handle casting, locations, and permits?

Yes — full-service production means talent, locations, permits, insurance certificates, and the fifty small logistics that make a shoot day boring in the best way.

What cameras and gear do you shoot on?

Cinema cameras and proper glass, matched to the project rather than the spec sheet — plus licensed drone pilots for aerial. Gear serves the idea; the treatment always comes first.

Do you only work with Austin companies?

Austin is home and most of our clients are Texan, but we shoot statewide and travel for the right projects. Remote review links and finishing make distance a non-issue in post.
