The Crew Your Turnaround Plans Around — Industrial Welding Contractors in Baton Rouge
Ancelet staffs shutdowns, welds code pipe, and holds maintenance contracts for the plants between Baton Rouge and New Orleans — badged welders, an audit-ready paper trail, and a reject rate plants brag about.
Scope We Bid On
Field crews and a spool shop under one contractor number.

Nobody Gets Hurt. Nothing Gets Hidden.
A 0.42 TRIR isn't luck — it's JSAs that get written by the people doing the task, stop-work authority that's actually used, and foremen promoted for catching hazards, not hiding them. Our safety record is why plants badge us fast, why our insurance costs less, and why the same welders keep showing up year after year. Safe crews are stable crews.
- ✓ISNetworld & Avetta maintained, grade A
- ✓Site-specific JSAs & daily toolbox talks
- ✓Stop-work authority exercised & celebrated
- ✓Full drug, background & orientation program

Where Our Welds Live

Shrink the Outage in Our Shop, Not Yours
Every hour a unit is down costs more than any welder does — so we move hours off your pad and onto Airline Highway. Iso drawings become spools, skids, and pre-dressed assemblies weeks before the window opens. Field crews then fit and tie in instead of fabricating in the rack. Turnaround planners tell us it's the line item that saves the schedule.
- ✓Pipe spools from your isos — carbon, chrome & stainless
- ✓Skids & modular assemblies pre-dressed
- ✓Hydro & NDE completed before shipping
- ✓Staged deliveries matched to your sequence
How We Protect Your Window
The sequence behind three hundred turnarounds without a schedule bust on our scope.
Plan Backwards From Startup
Scope walks and weld counts happen months out; long-lead alloys and fittings get ordered before the market squeezes.
Prefab Everything Movable
The spool shop clears every weld that doesn't have to happen in the rack — routinely a third of the scope.
Staff the Window, Not the Wish
Real headcount commitments from a bench we actually have — with named foremen your planner already knows.
Report Truth Daily
Weld counts, NDE results, and lookahead risks in plain numbers at every progress meeting. Surprises are a contractor failure.
What Plants Say After the Window Closes
Ancelet has welded our spring and fall turnarounds for six years. Their welders show up badged, their WPS library covers everything we run, and their reject rate is the lowest of any contractor on site. Scheduling them is the first thing our TA planner does.
We moved our day-to-day maintenance welding to Ancelet on a contract basis two years ago. Work orders close faster, the paperwork is audit-ready without chasing, and their foreman treats our unit like his own. Renewal was a five-minute conversation.
An exchanger repair mid-run is a bad day. Ancelet's crew was on our pad within four hours, welded to procedure with our inspector watching, and had documentation in my inbox before the unit was back up. That's what call-out is supposed to look like.
Asked by Procurement & Planners
Are you in ISNetworld / Avetta?
Yes — both profiles are maintained at grade A with current RAVS, insurance certificates, and OSHA logs. Send us your operator qualification requirements and we'll connect the profiles same-day.
What's your safety record?
TRIR of 0.42 on our latest year — below industry average — with zero lost-time incidents in the last three. The full safety file, EMR letter included, is available to any prospective client on request.
Are your welders qualified to our procedures?
Our welders test to ASME Section IX under our qualified procedures, and we maintain continuity logs. If your site requires testing to plant-specific WPSs, we schedule qualification before mobilization — not on your clock.
How do you price — T&M or firm?
Either, honestly quoted. Defined scopes get firm bids that hold. Discovery-heavy work — exchanger repairs, corrosion cut-outs — runs T&M with daily cost reporting so there's never an invoice surprise at close-out.
How much notice do you need for a turnaround?
For crews of ten or more, ninety days lets us hold the bench you want. Smaller scopes and call-outs move much faster — an emergency crew can typically be on your pad within hours.
Do you take evergreen maintenance contracts?
Yes — embedded maintenance crews are a third of our business. Plants keep a consistent foreman and bench, with headcount that flexes for outages and seasonal pushes.
What alloys do you weld?
Carbon steel, chrome-moly through P91 with proper pre/post-heat, 300-series stainless, and duplex on selected scopes. If your line class is exotic, ask — if we can't weld it to procedure, we'll say so plainly.
Can you handle NDE and hydro?
We coordinate NDE with your chosen inspection company or bring our regular partners, and our spool shop hydros before anything ships. Either way, results land in the close-out binder.
How big is your spool shop?
A dedicated fabrication facility on Airline Highway with positioners, rolling stands, and covered lay-down — sized to run multiple turnaround prefab packages at once, with staged delivery to your sequence.
