If Salt Touches It, We Weld It — Marine & Dock Welding in Tampa Bay
Docks, lifts, pontoons, T-tops, and everything stainless — welded dockside from our mobile rigs or in the shop, with marine-grade alloys that laugh at the bay. Your boat stays in the water; the rust doesn't.

Everything Between the Seawall and the Stern
Mobile rigs come to your dock, ramp, or marina — trailered boats are welcome at the shop.

Salt Never Sleeps. Neither Does Galvanic Corrosion.
Land welders treat saltwater work like regular work near water — and the bay eats their repairs in a season. Marine welding is its own trade: 5356 wire on aluminum that lives wet, 316L stainless passivated after every weld, isolation between dissimilar metals so your new bracket doesn't sacrifice itself to your old rail. Pelican Point does exclusively this. Eleven years on Tampa Bay taught us exactly how the water fights back — and how to win slowly, which is the only way to win against salt.
- ✓5356 aluminum wire for wet-life welds
- ✓316L stainless, passivated after welding
- ✓Dissimilar-metal isolation on every install
- ✓Repairs guaranteed against weld failure

Word Travels Dock to Dock
My boat lift's cradle beam cracked with the boat ON it — pure nightmare fuel. Pelican Point came down my dock the same afternoon, supported the load, welded the beam, and reinforced the far side before the same thing happened there. Boat never left the water. Neither did my blood pressure, thanks to them.
Ran my pontoon onto an oyster bar (don't ask) and split a toon seam. Two shops said haul it to Orlando. Pelican Point welded it at the ramp in Ruskin, pressure-tested it on the spot, and had us back fishing that weekend. Aluminum guys who actually know boats.
They built a custom T-top with rod holders and a radar mount for my center console — polished 316 stainless, welds like jewelry, and it hasn't grown a speck of rust through two summers. Half the marina has asked who did it.

Two Trucks, One Skiff, Zero Excuses
Pelican Point runs two fully-rigged mobile trucks — TIG, MIG, spool guns, and generators — plus a 20-foot work skiff for jobs the road can't reach. That's how a cracked lift beam in a back canal gets fixed the same day, and why marinas from Tarpon Springs to Apollo Beach keep our number behind the counter. Trailered boats and fabrication builds run through the Tyson Avenue shop, where the T-tops are born.
- ✓Two mobile rigs covering the whole bay
- ✓20-foot work skiff for water-access jobs
- ✓Spool guns & TIG for aluminum anywhere
- ✓Shop fabrication for T-tops and towers
Asked Across the Gunwale
Can you really weld my boat without hauling it out?
Usually, yes. Topside aluminum and stainless, lift hardware, davits, and rails all weld fine in the slip. Below-waterline hull repairs need a short haul or a tide window — we'll tell you straight from your photos which one you're facing.
My boat lift cracked with the boat on it. Now what?
Call us before anything else moves. We support the load first, then weld — same-day for most of the season. Lifting a boat off a compromised lift is how one repair becomes three.
Why did my last stainless weld rust?
Almost always the wrong grade (304 instead of 316) or no passivation after welding — the weld zone loses its protective layer and salt finds it in weeks. We weld 316L and passivate every joint, which is why our rails stay bright.
Do you work on pontoons and jon boats?
Constantly — toon seams, transom cracks, and grounding damage are weekly work. Repairs are TIG-welded and pressure-tested at the ramp before you launch.
How do dockside quotes work?
Text photos and your slip or ramp location; we'll give a rough number same day and confirm firm at the dock before starting. The invoice matches the quote — bay rule.
What area do you cover?
All of Tampa Bay: South Tampa, St. Pete, Clearwater, Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Gibsonton, Safety Harbor, and Tarpon Springs. The skiff extends us anywhere the water goes.
