Custom Motorcycle Fabrication in Long Beach

Night Owl welds the frames, chassis, and one-off parts SoCal's bikes actually ride on — jig-checked geometry, TIG beads you'll show off, and a shop that answers before race weekend.

A Frame Jig, a TIG Bench & Zero Shortcuts

Night Owl started as one welder fixing race crash damage nobody else would touch, and grew into the shop Long Beach builders trust with the part that everything else bolts to. Frames live or die on geometry, so ours go on the jig before and after every weld. If the numbers aren't right, the bike doesn't leave — simple as that.

  • Frame jig — measured before & after every job
  • TIG welds on chromoly, steel & aluminum
  • Mock-up photos approved before any cut
  • Geometry sheet delivered with every frame
The Standard

What Every Frame Gets

Jig Before, Jig After

Geometry measured going on the bench and coming off it — you get the sheet, the bike gets its handling back.

TIG, Not Guesswork

Chromoly and steel welded with proper prep, purge where it matters, and beads you'll want visible.

Mock-Up Before Metal

Stance photos and tack-up approval before any final weld — the bike you pictured is the bike you get.

Street & Track Honest

If a frame is too far gone, we say so and help you source a donor — reputation beats a repair invoice.

How It Works

From Roll-In to Roll-Out

1

Bring It By

Roll the bike in or send photos. We look, we measure, we give you a straight answer and a number.

2

Mock It Up

Stance set, parts tacked, photos sent. Nothing gets final-welded until you've approved the look.

3

Weld It Right

On the jig, TIG'd clean, geometry checked again — the boring discipline behind pretty bikes.

4

Roll Out Proud

You leave with the geometry sheet, finish-ready metal, and a frame that tracks straight at speed.

The Quiet Side of the Shop

Between motorcycle builds, the same benches turn out custom bicycle frames — steel road bikes, gravel rigs with clearance for the tires you actually run, and Long Beach lowriders with more chrome than paint. Your geometry gets drawn, your tubes get mitered by hand, and the frame gets built once, properly, with a wait list that's worth it.

  • Custom geometry drawn with you
  • Fillet-brazed or TIG — your call
  • Braze-ons where you want them
  • Lowrider builds welcome — bring your ideas
Why Night Owl

Why Builders Bring Us the Hard Part

Frames Are the Whole Shop

We don't do oil changes. The thing everything bolts to is the only thing on the bench — and it shows in the work.

Numbers Over Vibes

Every repair and build leaves with measured geometry. Straight isn't a feeling — it's a sheet of numbers you keep.

Race Weekend Priority

Crash Tuesday, grid Saturday. Track bikes jump the queue because we know what a missed weekend costs.

Questions

Asked Over the Bench

Can a bent frame really be straightened safely?

Usually, yes — steel and chromoly frames tolerate proper heat-and-pull correction well when the damage is caught honestly. We measure first, tell you what's recoverable, and if the frame is too far gone we'll say so and help you find a donor.

What does a hardtail conversion cost?

Weld-on hardtails typically run in the low thousands including the section, fit-up, and finishing — bolt-ons less. Every job gets a firm number after we see the frame, and mock-up photos before anything is cut.

How long is the bicycle frame wait list?

Usually eight to fourteen weeks depending on the season. Repairs and moto work run on a faster clock — and track emergencies jump every queue we have.

Do you work on aluminum frames?

Yes — aluminum swingarms, subframes, and tabs are regular work. Full aluminum frame straightening is more selective because the material is less forgiving; we'll assess honestly before promising anything.

Will the repair pass tech inspection?

Our track repairs leave with a geometry sheet and clean, inspectable welds — riders pass tech with our paperwork every season. Tell us your org's rules and we'll build to them.

Can I watch the work?

Mock-up and stance decisions, absolutely — that's your bike. During welding we'll wave you off the bench for obvious reasons, but progress photos land in your texts the same night.
