Make It Roll Right — Trailer Repair & Custom Builds in Salt Lake City
Cracked frames, tired axles, rotten decks, and dream builds — Wasatch welds trailers square, aligns them straight, and sends them back to work. Utah hauls hard; your trailer should keep up.

Everything From the Coupler Back
Repairs, rebuilds, and ground-up builds — quoted firm before the first grind.

A Welded Crack Is a Symptom. We Fix the Sentence.
Trailer frames don't crack randomly — they crack where load, leverage, and a light-duty design argue with how you actually use it. Welding the crack and waving goodbye means seeing you again in six months. Wasatch repairs read the failure first: box the rail where it flexes, gusset the hanger that's tearing, align the axles that have been scrubbing tires since the day you bought it. Then the crack stays fixed, because the reason for it is gone.
- ✓Failure diagnosed before the grinder starts
- ✓Frames boxed & gusseted at load points
- ✓Axles aligned — tires stop scrubbing
- ✓Repairs guaranteed against re-cracking

The Trailer the Catalog Doesn't Sell
Sometimes the right trailer doesn't exist at the dealership: the deck-over with rail pockets where your loader actually sits, the sled trailer sized for three machines and a Uinta parking lot, the vending rig with exactly your layout. Wasatch builds from bare steel on a jig table — axles rated honestly, wiring loomed properly, VIN and title paperwork handled. You describe the job it has to do; we build the trailer that does it.
- ✓Built on jigs — square today, square in year ten
- ✓Axles & brakes rated for the real load
- ✓Wiring loomed and weatherproofed properly
- ✓VIN, title & inspection paperwork handled

Asked at the Shop Counter
Is my cracked frame worth repairing?
Usually, yes — a boxed and gusseted repair on a sound frame outlasts the original design. If rust or fatigue has gone too far, we'll show you exactly why and talk honestly about whether a rebuild or replacement makes more sense.
How much does a custom build cost?
Simple utility builds start around $3,500; deck-overs and specialty rigs are quoted from your spec sheet. Every build is priced firm before steel is ordered — and we'll tell you when a dealer trailer plus modifications beats a full custom, because sometimes it does.
Why does my trailer wear tires unevenly?
Nine times out of ten: axle misalignment from a bent hanger, an old impact, or factory tolerance. We measure, re-hang, and align — tire wear evens out and towing stops feeling like a wrestling match.
Can you fix rotten wood decks?
Every week. We replace sheeting with proper treated planking or steel tread plate, repair the crossmembers underneath while it's open, and seal the edges the factory skipped.
How long do repairs take?
Most repairs are out in 2-4 days; big rebuilds and customs get a scheduled slot and a committed date. Racing a season or a job start? Say so — we juggle honestly.
Do you work on boat, horse, and sled trailers?
All of them — bunks, floors, gates, tongues, and the specialty hardware each type breaks. If it rolls behind a truck in Utah, it's been through this shop.
