Historic Estate Weddings in Savannah, GA
Provenance plans and designs timeless weddings at Savannah's most storied homes, landmark venues, and Lowcountry estates — heritage settings, impeccably run, for a celebration with a genuine sense of place.

Weddings With a Sense of Place
Provenance Estates was founded on a simple conviction: the most unforgettable weddings borrow their soul from the place they're held. For fifteen years we've specialised in the storied historic homes, landmark buildings, and Lowcountry estates of Savannah — settings with real architecture and real history, where a celebration feels rooted in something larger than a single day. These venues are extraordinary, but they are also demanding: preservation rules, no in-house catering, grounds that guests don't know. We know each estate intimately, hold the relationships that open their doors, and design weddings that honor the setting rather than fight it. The result is a wedding that could have happened nowhere else — and that feels, somehow, like it always belonged there.
- ✓Fifteen years, exclusively historic & estate venues
- ✓40+ landmark venue partners across the Lowcountry
- ✓We know each estate's rules, quirks & possibilities
- ✓Design that honors the architecture, never hides it
Everything an Estate Wedding Requires
Historic venues ask more of a wedding than a ballroom does. We handle all of it.
Have a venue in mind — or want us to find the one? Either way, we begin with a conversation.
The Difference Fifteen Years Makes
Planning a historic-estate wedding is a specialty. This is what that specialty buys you.
Estate Specialists, Not Generalists
We plan historic and landmark weddings almost exclusively. The expertise compounds — and it shows on the day.
Doors Others Can't Open
Fifteen years of relationships mean access to venues, dates, and terms that aren't on any public list.
We Speak 'Historic Property'
Preservation rules, load-in restrictions, no in-house kitchen — we've solved every one of these many times over.
Design Rooted in Place
Every wedding we design begins with the building itself, so the result feels inevitable rather than imported.
Impeccable Orchestration
A seasoned team runs the day with quiet precision, so the estate's demands never reach you or your guests.
A Celebration That Lasts
Timeless by design — the kind of wedding that looks as elegant in the photographs twenty years from now.

From First Tour to Final Farewell
A considered, unhurried process — the way a heritage wedding deserves to be planned.
Conversation
We start by understanding your vision, your guest count, and the feeling you want — before a single venue is named.
The Estate
We shortlist and tour the historic venues that fit, and secure the one that feels right on every level.
Design & Plan
We design a wedding drawn from the estate itself, then plan every detail and curate every vendor around it.
The Day
Our team runs the estate from load-in to send-off, so you and your families are simply, fully present.
Three Promises We Hold To
For a wedding rooted in a place with real history, couples across the Lowcountry trust Provenance.
The Setting Leads
We never impose a look on a historic venue. We design from its architecture and story outward, so the wedding and the estate feel like one.
Nothing Reaches You on the Day
Historic properties are demanding. Our team absorbs every rule, restriction, and logistics puzzle so your day feels effortless.
Timeless Over Trendy
We design for elegance that endures — a celebration that looks as considered in twenty years as it did on the night.

A Design Drawn From the Building Itself
The most beautiful estate weddings never look decorated — they look discovered, as though the celebration simply belonged to the room. That's the discipline of our design work. We begin with the venue: its columns and cornices, its light, its patina, the colours already in its stone and gardens. Then we build a wedding outward from there — florals that echo the architecture, a palette borrowed from the setting, styling restrained enough to let a two-hundred-year-old house speak for itself. The effect is a celebration that feels rooted and inevitable, never imported. It is the difference between a wedding held at a beautiful estate and a wedding that is truly of it.
- ✓Design begins with the estate's own architecture
- ✓A palette borrowed from the setting itself
- ✓Restraint that lets a historic venue speak
- ✓A wedding that feels of the place, not just at it
Words From the Estates
We fell in love with a 1868 mansion in the Historic District, but had no idea how to actually get married there. Provenance did everything — secured the estate, navigated its rules, designed a celebration that honored the architecture instead of hiding it, and ran the day so flawlessly that not a single guest saw a seam. It felt like the house had been waiting a century for our wedding.
A wedding at a 200-year-old estate comes with a hundred logistical puzzles — preservation rules, no in-house catering, guests who don't know the grounds. Provenance had answered every one before we thought to ask. Their relationships with the venue and the local vendors made the impossible feel effortless, and the design was so tied to the setting it could have lived nowhere else.
We wanted our wedding to feel timeless — not trendy, not of any one year — and Provenance understood that completely. They found us a landmark venue with real history, styled it with such restraint and taste, and orchestrated the whole evening so gracefully that it felt like a celebration from a more elegant era. Fifteen years of experience shows in every detail.
Estate Wedding Questions, Answered
Do we need to have a venue already?
Not at all — venue sourcing is one of the things couples value most about working with us. If you have a historic home or estate in mind, wonderful; we likely already know it. If not, we'll shortlist and tour the landmark venues that fit your vision, guest count, and season, and secure the right one. Many of the best estates aren't on any public directory.
Why are historic venues harder to plan than a regular venue?
Storied properties are extraordinary, but they come with real constraints: preservation and load-in rules, often no in-house catering or kitchen, limited power, grounds guests don't know, and strict timelines. These are exactly the puzzles our fifteen years exist to solve — we've navigated them many times over, so they never become your problem.
What does full-service estate planning include?
Everything from the first estate tour to the final farewell: venue sourcing, full design and styling, complete vendor curation and management, budget and timeline, guest logistics and transport, and a seasoned team running the estate on the day. You get one point of contact and a celebration that's handled end to end.
Do you work at estates outside Savannah?
Yes. Savannah's Historic District is our heart, but we plan throughout the Lowcountry — Bluffton, the Sea Islands, and the historic estates and plantations of the surrounding coast. If there's a landmark setting you love, tell us; there's a good chance we've planned there or can open the door.
How far in advance should we book?
For a historic-estate wedding, twelve to eighteen months is ideal. The most sought-after venues and specialist vendors book early, and a heritage wedding rewards an unhurried timeline. That said, if your date is sooner, reach out — we've beautifully planned estate celebrations on shorter runways.
How is your pricing structured?
After an initial consultation we provide a clear proposal with a flat planning and design fee based on your scope and the demands of your chosen estate. Venue, catering, and décor costs are tracked transparently in your budget throughout, so you always know exactly where things stand — no vague percentages, ever.
