Weddings as Breathtaking as the View — Mountain Weddings in Aspen, CO
Alpine peaks, aspen groves, and rustic-luxe lodges — Summit & Spruce plans and runs unforgettable mountain and adventure weddings across Aspen, so you can be fully present for the moment and the view.

The Mountains Are the Hard Part. We Make Them Easy.
Summit & Spruce was born from a love of two things: big mountains and big celebrations. For eleven years we've planned weddings across Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley — on peaks and passes, in aspen groves and rustic-luxe lodges, for couples who wanted their wedding to feel as breathtaking as the landscape around it. Mountain weddings are extraordinary, but they're also demanding in ways a ballroom never is: altitude, weather, access roads, guests who've never set foot in the Rockies. We know these mountains intimately — which peak, which backup plan, which vendors can actually get up there — and we handle every one of those variables so they never reach you. What's left is the part you'll remember forever: you, the people you love, and a view that takes everyone's breath away.

Three Things We Never Compromise
For a wedding as breathtaking as the mountains it's held in, couples trust Summit & Spruce.
The Mountain Leads
We never fight the landscape with fussy design. We let the peaks, the light, and the aspens do the work, and style around them.
Nothing Reaches You on the Day
Altitude, access, and weather are our problem to solve. We absorb every mountain variable so your day feels effortless.
Adventure, Beautifully Run
The wildest ideas deserve flawless logistics. We make the adventurous feel seamless, and the seamless feel breathtaking.

Let the Mountains Do the Decorating
The most beautiful mountain weddings never compete with the view — they frame it. That's the heart of how we design. We begin with the setting: the granite and the pines, the alpine light, the gold of the aspens in September, the endless line of peaks. Then we build a celebration that lets all of it lead — natural textures, an earthy palette borrowed from the landscape, styling elevated enough to feel like a wedding and restrained enough to let a mountain range be the backdrop it was born to be. Warm light, good wine, the people you love, and a view no ballroom could ever hang on a wall. That's the whole idea.

Words From the Mountains
We wanted to get married on a mountaintop, and everyone told us the logistics would be a nightmare — the altitude, the weather, getting 90 guests up there. Summit & Spruce made it feel easy. They knew exactly which peak, which access, which backup plan, and when a storm rolled in they pivoted so smoothly our guests never knew. Standing at 11,000 feet saying our vows was the best moment of our lives.
A mountain wedding has a hundred variables a ballroom never does — weather, altitude, access, guests who've never been to Aspen. Summit & Spruce had thought through every one before we asked. Their vendor relationships and their read on the mountains turned what could have been stressful into the most beautiful, seamless weekend. The aspen grove they found us was pure magic.
We're an adventurous couple and we wanted a wedding to match — a hike, a summit, a celebration under the stars. Summit & Spruce didn't just tolerate the idea, they ran with it, and designed something more breathtaking than we'd imagined. They handled every logistic so we could just experience it. It felt like the mountains themselves were part of the guest list.

Mountain Wedding Questions, Answered
Can our guests actually get to a mountain ceremony?
Yes — and making that seamless is a core part of what we do. Depending on your vision, access ranges from an easy drive or gondola ride to a guided hike. We match the setting to your guest list, arrange transport up the mountain, communicate everything clearly in advance, and always have a plan for guests who need an easier route. Nobody gets left at the bottom.
What happens if the weather turns?
Every mountain wedding we plan has a weather contingency built in from day one — a covered backup, a flexible timeline, and vendors briefed on the plan. Mountain weather moves fast, and we watch it closely in the days before. If we need to pivot, we do it so smoothly that most guests never realise anything changed. You'll never be caught out.
Do you plan adventure elopements as well as big weddings?
Both, gladly. We plan everything from an intimate two-person summit elopement to a 150-guest lodge celebration. If your idea of a perfect wedding involves hiking boots and a view earned on foot, we're absolutely your team — and we'll handle the permits, the timing, and the logistics so the adventure stays joyful.
We're not local — can you plan it remotely?
Almost all of our couples plan from out of state, and our process is built for it. Video calls, detailed digital plans, and a scouting trip or two are usually all it takes. We're your eyes, ears, and boots on the ground in Aspen, so you can plan a mountain wedding from anywhere with total confidence.
How far in advance should we book?
For a mountain wedding, twelve to eighteen months is ideal — the best peaks, groves, and lodges book early, and permits for public-land ceremonies can take time. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway; we've pulled off beautiful mountain celebrations on shorter timelines when the calendar cooperates.
How is your pricing structured?
After an initial consultation we provide a clear proposal with a flat planning and design fee based on your scope and the demands of your setting. Venue, vendor, and travel costs are tracked transparently in your budget throughout, so you always know exactly where things stand — no vague percentages, ever.
