A wedding planner's website acts as an online portfolio of their work that future brides and grooms can use to ensure the planner's style complements their dream wedding. A good rule of thumb for these sites is to include a mission statement or statement of the planner's style so busy brides and grooms can see it at first glance.

1.  Mandy Scott

Mandy Scott has been voted as the Best Wedding Planner and Floral Designer in San Francisco for over 10 years. The site draws you in with a page of rotating images that you can manually scroll through, pause, expand, or go to the social media sites. I found these images really showed Mandy's style and made me want to head over to the portfolio to see more images.

The blog, which offers descriptions of the weddings Mandy has worked, offers a more personal touch than the classic focus on tips, tricks, and advice. This take gives prospective brides and grooms an insight into how their own weddings will go.

Lavender Blue brands itself as a planner of alternative, quirky, and fun weddings that are different from the norm. I found the site's branding to be on point, with a lavender and blue color palette, but the contemporary style of the site could feature some more quirky elements.

This business offers customers set packages, which is a great touch for the couple on a budget who may only need some final touches rather than a fully planned wedding. I appreciated the recommendations for venues, catering, photographers, and more, and the customer reviews labeled as "Kind Words" was a fun touch.

3.  Classy Affairs

Classy Affairs is a team of wedding planners who aim to bring luxury wedding dreams to life. The site echoes the brand message with a sophisticated and elegant design aesthetic conveyed in tones of gray and high-quality images. However, the lighter gray tones don't have enough contrast against the white background.

While scrolling through the site, I found well-placed CTAs but I didn't quite enjoy the only links to the various services being placed halfway down the home page instead of in the top menu. I also found myself missing social media links, as it wasn't immediately clear that the photos at the bottom of the page contained links to Instagram.

4.  Weddings By E

Weddings By E offers unique, stress-free weddings for couples based in Melbourne. The site stands out from the competition by offering a sleek black website with white text and minimal use of images. While this created a wonderfully minimalist site that didn't overwhelm me with long blocks of text, I found I missed a portfolio section.

I liked that the description of services featured drop-down text, so visitors can focus just on the service they need. I also thought titling the customer reviews "Love Notes" was a romantically whimsical touch.

5.  Blue Olive Events

Blue Olive Events offers bespoke wedding planning, from destination weddings to traditional weddings. The site shows strong branding through the use of blue accents to complement the company name, but this does lead to some contrast issues with lighter blue tones against the white background.

The rotating hero banner complements the site aesthetic with sophistication and elegance. I liked that the social media links appeared in the top menu, and the "How I Work" section is a great addition to this niche!
