Tall photo boxes now get tall photos

Zarla now picks upright photos for the tall photo spaces on your site, so the person in the picture stays whole instead of being cut off at the top.

Some layouts show a photo in a space that is taller than it is wide — the side-by-side hero, the calm portrait hero, the overlapping and showcase sections, the spotlight review. Zarla used to fill those with wide photos and crop them to fit, which often cut the person out of the frame.

Now the photo search knows the shape of the space it is filling: those spaces get upright photos when your site is built, when you search or ask for suggestions in the photo picker, and when you ask the assistant to change a photo. Wide spaces work exactly as before.
