A Claude website builder is a website product you operate by chatting with Claude. With Zarla, Claude connects through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the open standard Anthropic released in late 2024 — to a remote server at https://www.zarla.com/api/mcp. You sign in with OAuth in your browser; there are no API keys or tokens to copy.
Once connected, Claude calls Zarla’s 36 tools to create a site, edit pages and sections, change the design or switch to another of Zarla’s 1,200+ designs, and set your logo. It can also update business details and SEO, add products, read orders, refresh a preview and publish. Custom connectors are available on Claude’s Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; Free allows one custom connector (Anthropic’s help article, updated August 11, 2026), and Zarla can be it.

Claude also uses its own web search first if you ask it to research your competitors, so the site is aimed at the gaps your market leaves open. Hosting, SEO and products are all built in.
Yes. Connect Claude first — you don’t need a site yet — then say “build me a website for an emergency plumber in Austin”. Claude creates it directly; you never click through Zarla’s onboarding unless you want to. The result is a real, hosted Zarla site you can also open in the Zarla editor.
No. Zarla connects to claude.ai and Claude Desktop as a custom connector, which Anthropic makes available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (Free allows one custom connector — Anthropic’s help article, updated August 11, 2026). Claude Code works too if you prefer the terminal: one command adds Zarla, then sign in.
Nothing to start. Building and previewing are free — create the site, connect Claude, make changes, preview on any device. Any publish, to a free Zarla address or your own domain, needs a paid plan — see our plans. The free Claude plan is enough for everything on this page.
Ask “Show me my website” and Claude refreshes your draft and shows a panel with an Open in browser button; the draft opens in a new tab. The preview renders inside the conversation on apps that allow embedded frames (ChatGPT does today); on claude.ai and Claude Desktop Anthropic restricts embedded frames pending its security review, so the button is the honest experience for now. Claude Code returns a preview link. Checked on September 11, 2026.
Through the Model Context Protocol. Zarla runs a remote MCP server at https://www.zarla.com/api/mcp that exposes 36 tools, and Claude calls them as you chat. They read your site and pages, add or update a section, change the design and set the logo. They also update SEO, add a product, read orders, refresh the preview and publish. Claude asks you to approve each kind of action the first time; every website edit goes to your private draft, never straight to the live site.
Website edits land in your private draft, not on your live site. Open the draft in the Zarla editor or the preview and change anything, or ask Claude to put it back. Publishing is an explicit step — Claude asks you to approve it. If you ever want Claude out, click Disconnect on the AI apps screen in Zarla and its access ends immediately. One exception to know: if your site is already live and selling, product price and availability changes reach checkout right away — ask Claude to republish afterwards so the page matches.
Only what the tools expose: your sites, pages, design, products, recent orders and payment status — the same things you see in the editor. Your leads inbox, bookings and invoices are not part of the connection; they stay in your Zarla dashboard. You approve the connection when you sign in and can end it any time from the AI apps screen.
Yes — Wix has a connector in Claude’s directory (added January 2026) backed by Wix’s official MCP server at mcp.wix.com. It is aimed at developers, agencies and Wix site owners: managing Wix sites and business apps by chat, with new Wix sites generated from a description through the Wix app in ChatGPT. No — the opposite. Claude Code writes HTML, CSS and JavaScript files that you then deploy to a host. Zarla via Claude doesn’t write files; it edits a live, hosted website that already has hosting, SEO, products and a lead inbox built in. Different problem, different solution — and it works without a terminal.
