Zarla hosts websites for small businesses, and sometimes a bad actor tries to use one for a scam, a phishing page, malware, or to impersonate a real business. If you find one, here's how to report it and what happens after.
How to report a site
Email abuse@zarla.com with the subject line "Abuse report" and include:
- The exact web address (URL) of the page or site.
- What's wrong, in a sentence or two.
- Any evidence you have — screenshots, messages you received, transaction details. Never send passwords or full card numbers.
- How we can reach you if we need more details.
Our full public instructions are at zarla.com/report-abuse.
What happens next
Reports to abuse@zarla.com are reviewed by a member of our team, not by AI. Phishing, malware, and payment scams are handled first. If the site breaks our Terms of Use, we take it offline and, for serious or repeated violations, close the account behind it. We'll confirm when we've acted, but we don't share details about other customers, and we never tell a site owner who reported them.
The site isn't hosted by Zarla
We can only act on websites we host (Zarla sites live on `websitelive.com` addresses or on a customer's own domain connected to Zarla). For other sites, a WHOIS lookup of the domain usually shows the hosting company and its abuse contact.
Someone copied my work (copyright)
That's a different process. See Report copyright infringement (DMCA) — copyright notices go to dmca@zarla.com, not abuse@.
My own site was taken offline
If you're a Zarla customer and your site was taken down after a report, you'll have received a notice explaining why. Reply to that notice with your side of the story and we'll review it within two business days. Sites taken down for fixable problems can usually be put back online once the content is corrected.
