The short answer
A 60-minute group class costs $15 to $30 per person in the US, with boutique urban studios at $20 to $30; the national average is $21 and Northeast metro markets average $26 (Xplor Mariana Tek, August 2026). Gymdesk and WellnessLiving both put the standard drop-in at $15–$25 (June and March 2026).
The rest of the menu: a 5-class pack $65–$110, a 10-class pack $120–$200, an unlimited monthly membership $100–$180, a workshop or specialty class $25–$60, an online live group class $10–$25 (Mariana Tek). Class packs price about 10%–20% below the drop-in equivalent — a $20 drop-in makes a 10-class pack $170 at 15% off (Gymdesk).
Privates: $60–$120 in the studio, $80–$150 at the client's home with the travel built in, $40–$100 online (Mariana Tek); WellnessLiving's bands are $60–$120 in person and $40–$80 online. A 30-minute class runs $10–$18 per person and a 30-minute private $35–$65 (Mariana Tek). Corporate wellness sessions run $100–$200 (Gymdesk).
Price from the instructor's pay first — most studios pay $25–$50 a class, $50–$75+ in premium markets, or 50%–70% of class revenue (Mariana Tek) — then tier by experience: early-career teachers $15–$25 a class and $50–$80 a private, senior or specialist teachers $45–$65+ and $100–$150+. Put the list on your website: “how much to charge for yoga classes” is put to AI assistants about 3,400 times a month (DataForSEO, October 2026).

THE PRICING FORMULA
How to price yoga classes
Six steps from the rent and the teacher's pay to the price list on your website.
Start from the teacher's pay
Most studios pay $25–$50 a class, $50–$75+ in premium markets, or 50%–70% of class revenue (Mariana Tek, August 2026) — the biggest cost input, so it comes before the price.
Price the room, not the student
A 20-person flow class at $18 brings in $360; a six-person workshop at $45 brings in $270 with far more attention per student — smaller classes need higher per-head prices (Gymdesk, June 2026).
Set the drop-in from the market
$15–$30 for a 60-minute class, $20–$30 at boutique urban studios; $21 is the national average and $26 the Northeast metro average (Mariana Tek). Cost of living sets the ceiling — a major metro can charge $25, a mid-size town probably can't (Gymdesk).
Discount the packs and memberships by volume
Packs 10%–20% below the drop-in: a $20 drop-in makes a 10-class pack $170 at 15% off, $17 a class (Gymdesk). Unlimited memberships $100–$180 a month (Mariana Tek).
Tier privates by the teacher
Early-career $50–$80 a session, mid-level $80–$100, senior or specialist $100–$150+ (Mariana Tek); in-studio $60–$120, at home $80–$150 with the travel built in, online $40–$100.
Add the formats that pay
Workshops $25–$60 a person, corporate sessions $100–$200, online live classes $10–$25 (Mariana Tek, Gymdesk). Intro offers — a first class free, five classes for $50 — bring new students in without discounting the list (WellnessLiving).
The formula, worked through
Say a studio in a mid-size city runs a 60-minute vinyasa class with a mid-level teacher, averaging twelve students.
At the $21 national average (Mariana Tek) the class takes $252; the teacher's $25–$50 (Mariana Tek) leaves $200–$225 for rent, utilities and profit. A 10-class pack at 15% off is $179, a $17.85 class; an unlimited membership at $120 a month pays for itself for a student at six classes.
So “drop-in $21, 10-class pack $179, unlimited $120 a month, privates from $85” is a fair list for your website — a Northeast metro studio would print a $26 drop-in and a $150 membership. The arithmetic is ours; the rates are the publishers'.
What to charge in your part of the country
Mariana Tek's regional benchmarks: the average class is $21 in the Southeast, up $1 on the year, and $26 in the Northeast's major metros, $5 above its $21 national average; the highest Southeast membership reached $184 a month in Tampa, and New York City studios have the highest monthly revenue in the Northeast, earning more from class credits than memberships (August 2026). Cities with high rent sit at the top of every band (WellnessLiving, March 2026).
Across all prices, the Bureau of Economic Analysis puts California at 110.7 against a US average of 100 and Arkansas at 86.9 (2024 regional price parities, released February 2026) — a $21 class in an average market is about $23 in California and about $18 in Arkansas.
Online classes compete with everyone: $10–$25 a class, roughly 25%–35% below in-person, against the $19-a-month app with a thousand instructors (Gymdesk, June 2026). Price the live, local room for what the app can't give.
Put your prices on your website
A price list — even “from” prices — answers a customer's first question before they pick up the phone, and it's the line an AI assistant can quote when someone asks what a yoga class costs near them.
If you build your site with Zarla, tell the editor “add a pricing section: drop-in classes from $21, 10-class packs from $179, unlimited memberships from $120 a month, private sessions from $85” and your prices go on the site, in a section you can edit any time. Yoga class pricing: common questions
$15–$30 for a 60-minute group class in the US, $20–$30 at boutique urban studios; the national average is $21 and Northeast metros average $26 (Xplor Mariana Tek, August 2026). Gymdesk and WellnessLiving both put the standard range at $15–$25. The calculator above uses Mariana Tek's bands.
$65–$110 for five classes and $120–$200 for ten (Mariana Tek, August 2026) — about 10%–20% below the drop-in equivalent, so a $20 drop-in makes a 10-class pack $170 at 15% off (Gymdesk, June 2026).
$100–$180 a month (Mariana Tek, August 2026); Gymdesk's typical range is $100–$150 and WellnessLiving's $100–$180. Top-tier memberships with workshops or privates included run $200 and up (Mariana Tek).
$60–$120 in the studio, $80–$150 at the client's home with the travel built in, $40–$100 online (Mariana Tek, August 2026); WellnessLiving puts in-person privates at $60–$120 and online at $40–$80. By teacher: early-career $50–$80, mid-level $80–$100, senior or specialist $100–$150+ a session (Mariana Tek).
$10–$25 for a live online group class (Mariana Tek) — $10–$20 in Gymdesk's and WellnessLiving's bands, roughly 25%–35% below in-person; monthly unlimited online access $75–$100 (Gymdesk, June 2026). Pre-recorded on-demand classes run $5–$15 each or $20–$50 a month (WellnessLiving).
$25–$50 a class at most studios, $50–$75+ in premium markets, or a percentage model of 50%–70% of per-class student revenue (Mariana Tek, August 2026); WellnessLiving's figures are the same $25–$50 and $50–$60 in high-demand markets. Instructor pay is the largest cost input, so set it before the class price.
Workshops and specialty classes $25–$60 a person (Mariana Tek); a two-hour workshop on inversions or breathwork commonly runs $30–$100 a person, and corporate wellness sessions $100–$200 (Gymdesk, June 2026). Fifteen seats at $75 is $1,125 for an afternoon — a best case, not a typical one.
Yes — the drop-in, the packs, the membership and a “privates from” line, with the intro offer beside them. New students compare the list before they walk in, and an AI assistant quotes the studio that publishes one. On a Zarla site, tell the editor “add a pricing section” with your list, and change it any time.
