AI credits are how Zarla measures AI work — every time the AI builds or edits something for you, it uses a few credits. Small things cost little; big things cost more. Your credits come with your plan, so using them never adds to your bill.
What things cost (roughly)
- A chat edit ("make the headline bolder") — about 1 credit
- A new page (service page, blog post) — about 10 credits
- A whole new website — about 50 credits
If a chat reply runs out of room (for example, the request was too big to do in one go), your site stays as it was and, in most cases, that reply doesn't use a credit. The same goes for a page you add in the editor, other than a blog post or a landing page: if the AI can't finish it, in most cases it doesn't use the page's credits.
How many you get
- Free plan — every site you build starts with 75 credits, one time (up to 10 sites per account). Enough to build your site and polish it before publishing.
- Premium — 400 credits every month.
- Business — 1,500 credits every month.
Monthly credits refresh on your billing date. Upgrading — from Free to a paid plan, or from Premium to Business — makes the bigger allowance available right away.
Where to see your balance
- Any time: open Site settings and look at the Plan section. On a computer, click Site settings in the sidebar. On a phone, tap More in the bottom menu bar, then Site settings. (The bottom menu bar isn't shown while you're editing your site — leave the editor first.) The balance shows there unless the last payment for your plan didn't go through.
- In the editor, when you're running low: once a paid site is down to 200 credits, or a Free site to 40, your balance appears at the top right, near the button you publish with. Until then it stays out of your way. Click it to see what a chat edit and a new page use or, when you're nearly out, how to get more. If the last payment for your plan didn't go through, it tells you that instead, and how to sort it out.
- On a phone: the top bar has no room for it. When you ask the chat for new pages, the card with the Create button shows what they use and how many credits you have.
- Ask the chat: "How many AI credits do I have?"
Only the site's owner can see its balance. Team members don't see it.
Running low?
If you run out partway through, nothing you've built is lost. In the editor's chat and the AI chats, Zarla shows your options:
- On the free plan: upgrading to a paid plan gives you a monthly allowance.
- On a paid plan: buy a credit top-up from the out-of-credits prompt, or wait for your monthly refresh.
