Done by AI · not an agency

Auto repair website design by AI, for repair shops, specialists, fleet shops and mobile mechanics.

Brief Zarla the way you'd brief a web designer. Its AI designs your site in about 30 seconds, with a request form, your services and a call button, then adds pages for your services and the areas you cover, up to your plan's page limit. No sales call, no weeks-long build.

Sample designs

Looks like a $5,000 agency website. Judge for yourself.

Six Zarla designs, shown for made-up auto repair businesses, from an independent shop and a European specialist to a fleet shop and two mobile mechanics. Start from one and the AI rewrites it around yours, or let your brief decide.

The checklist

What every auto repair website needs

What a good auto repair website is laid out like, from the first screen down: six things it needs to turn a driver with a warning light into a booked appointment, each shown on one of Zarla's designs.

  1. 01

A booking form in the first screen, with the quote form one step behind it

A driver with a noise or a warning light wants a time, not a conversation. Next to the headline, a short request form takes the car, the symptom and when they'd like it looked at, and the call button sits beside it for the breakdown; if you'd rather they pick a slot themselves, add online booking, which syncs to your calendar and can take a deposit. For the bigger jobs, a quote request asks for the make, model and symptoms, so the estimate you send back is based on the car, not a guess.

Anchor Automotive: a 'Book a Service' form beside 'The Mechanic You Can Actually Trust', and 'Get Your Car Booked In' at the bottom with 'Book My Service' as the button
  2. 02

Your services with a starting price, so nobody fears the bill

A common reason drivers put off trying a new shop is not knowing what the bill will be. List the jobs drivers search for, oil changes, brakes, diagnostics, tires and alignment, AC, the check engine light, and put a 'from' price beside each one you can stand behind, with a line saying the exact price is agreed before work starts. Then show the steps: book or drop in, the diagnosis, the estimate, the repair.

Larkby Mobile Auto Repair: 'Starting Prices, Parts Included' from a 'Diagnostic Visit' to 'Battery Installed', with 'Your exact price is agreed before we start', and 'How We Earn The Second Call' opening on 'The Price Comes First'
  3. 03

The estimate before the work, and your registration where your state asks

For a big repair, say how the estimate works: free or not, written, and approved by the customer before you pick up a tool. Then the paperwork. In the US there's no federal mechanic license, but several states, California, New York and Connecticut among them, require the repair shop itself to be registered; show your registration number where your state asks for it, and check with your state's motor vehicle or consumer affairs agency for the rules where you work.

Maddox Transmission & Gear: 'Get a Free Estimate' under 'Your Transmission, Rebuilt to Last — Transmission Repair in Houston, TX', with 'Transmissions are all we do — repair, rebuild, or replace, done right the first time'
  4. 04

The makes you know best, named in the first screen

A driver with a seven-year-old BMW is choosing between the dealer and someone who knows the car. If you specialize, name the makes in the first screen, with a page per make, then say plainly why owners switch: the same diagnostic tools and parts, a lower labor rate, a person they can talk to. A shop that fixes everything can still list the makes it sees most.

Brandt European Motorworks: 'Dealer-Level Care — European Auto Repair in Scottsdale, AZ' with 'See Our Marques', 'Marques We Specialize In' and 'Why Owners Leave the Dealer for Us'
  5. 05

For mobile mechanics: the service area, the call-out fee and booking from the phone

Whether you'll drive to them is the first thing a mobile customer checks, so answer it in the first screen with a check-your-address box or a map of the towns your van covers. Say what the call-out or diagnostic visit costs, what you can fix on the driveway and what needs a shop, and what you need on arrival: a flat spot, the keys, room to work. The booking form has to work one-handed on a phone, because the customer may be standing beside the car.

Driveway Mechanics: a 'Get a Free Quote' form centered under 'Skip the Shop — A Mobile Mechanic in Austin, TX', 'We Come to You' and 'Easy Booking & Pay' in 'Auto Repair Without the Hassle', and 'Serving Greater Austin, Right Where You Are' with 'Check your area'
  6. 06

For fleet work: an account, one number and one invoice

A fleet manager isn't booking an oil change; they're choosing who keeps twenty vans on the road. Give fleets their own page with a request form that asks how many vehicles and what types, say how preventive maintenance is scheduled, who answers out of hours and how billing works, and put 'Set up a fleet account' where a driver's page would put 'Book'.

Keystone Fleet Maintenance: 'Request Fleet Service' under 'Fleet Maintenance in Columbus, OH', 'One Number, One Invoice' and '24/7 Roadside' in 'Built Around Fleet Uptime', and 'Start a fleet account'

Process and turnaround

How it works, and how long each step takes

For comparison, from the pages of the agencies and platforms that build auto repair sites: 4 to 7 weeks for a medium-complexity shop site at an agency with a US office in Indiana, a few weeks for a basic site at an auto repair marketing agency, 'ready in days' at a shop-software company's website service, 'instantly built' on the dealer and shop website platform's auto-shop page, and no timeline at the other marketing agency.

  1. About a minute

    1. The brief

  2. About 30 seconds

What's included

What you get from your first brief

  • The design. Layout, colors, fonts and photos picked for an auto repair shop or mobile mechanic.
  • The words. Headlines, service descriptions and FAQs written from your brief. Edit any of it.
  • Service and area pages. Pages for your services, the makes you specialize in, fleet work and the towns you cover.
  • Quote request form. A driver tells you the car, what it's doing and when they'd like it looked at, and it lands in your leads inbox, with an email alert. Customers can attach up to five photos of the job to the form, so you can often price it from the photos instead of a site visit. The form doesn't work out a price for you — you read the request and quote it yourself. Then send your quote from Zarla as one link: the customer accepts it online, and Zarla drafts the invoice for what they chose.
  • Tap-to-call buttons. On every page, for the driver whose car just stopped.
  • Google groundwork. Titles, descriptions, business markup and a sitemap on every page, and fast pages on phones.
  • Your Google reviews and listing. Connect your Business Profile and your rating, reviews and map show on the site.
  • Hosting on Google Cloud, with SSL. Nothing to set up.Premium
  • Your own domain. Connect the one you have or buy one inside Zarla.Premium

Revisions

No revision rounds. No hourly rate.

An agency with a US office in Indiana sells a $699 a month package for updates and promotion landing pages; a website platform for dealers and shops includes unlimited layout and design changes in $39 a month or $390 a year; the auto repair marketing agencies and the shop-software company don't publish what changes cost. With Zarla you make the changes yourself, whenever you want.

The honest part

What an agency does that Zarla doesn't

Zarla does the design part of an agency's job with AI. Here's what you'd still be paying people for.

  • A strategy call about your market and your competitors
  • Original photos of your team, vans and jobs. Zarla uses your photos or stock.
  • Copy written from interviewing you. Zarla writes from your brief, and you edit it.
  • Monthly SEO campaigns, link building and ranking reports
  • Running your Google Ads and Local Services Ads
  • One named person accountable, on the phone
  • Custom features beyond Zarla's sections

Questions auto repair shops ask

Is Zarla a web design agency?

No. Zarla is AI. It does the design part of an agency's job, the layout, words, pages and forms, from a one-sentence brief. There's no designer on the other end. If you want a person for marketing or SEO, Zarla partners are independent agencies and freelancers who work on Zarla sites.

How much does auto repair website design cost?

The agencies and platforms that publish prices for auto repair sites charge $1,699 for a fixed-scope site plus $699 a month for updates at an agency with a US office in Indiana, which separately estimates $2,800 to $4,800 for a medium-complexity shop site, and $39 a month or $390 a year at a website platform for dealers and shops; the two auto repair marketing agencies and the shop-software company publish no website price (one quotes on request). Designing and previewing on Zarla is free; you choose a Premium or Business plan when you publish.

What should an auto repair website have?

A booking form and your phone number in the first screen, your services with a starting price, how estimates work, the makes you know best, your hours, the map, your Google reviews and, where your state asks, your shop registration number. In the US, several states require repair shops to register, so check with your state's motor vehicle or consumer affairs agency. Zarla adds service, make and town pages from your brief, up to your plan's page limit. Customers can attach up to five photos of the job to the form, so you can often price it from the photos instead of a site visit. The form doesn't work out a price for you — you read the request and quote it yourself.

How long does an auto repair website take?

An agency with a US office in Indiana says 4 to 7 weeks for a medium-complexity shop site, an auto repair marketing agency says a few weeks for a basic site, a shop-software company's website service says ready in days, and the dealer and shop website platform says 'instantly built'. Zarla's first design takes about 30 seconds; after your changes, you can publish the same day on a paid plan.

Can customers book a service online?

Yes. Customers book appointments or service calls from your website; bookings sync to Google Calendar, and you can take a deposit or full payment through your own Stripe account. Open the times you take drop-offs, or a mobile mechanic's van slots, the same way.

Can I send a repair estimate as a link?

Yes. Send a quote as one link: your customer picks an option, ticks any extras and accepts it online, and Zarla drafts the invoice for exactly what they chose, with any deposit you asked for. Put the repair and an optional extra, such as new rotors with the pads, as choices, and the customer approves it on their phone before you start.

Does it work for a mobile mechanic?

Yes. Two of the six designs above are mobile mechanics' sites, and the brief can say the towns your van covers, so Zarla adds a page for each, up to your plan's page limit. Turn on the WhatsApp button too. A WhatsApp chat button on every published page: switch it on from the Apps page, enter your number, and visitors open a WhatsApp chat with you; taps are counted in analytics. A driver can send a photo of the warning light from beside the car.

I already have an auto repair website. Can I move it?

Yes. Zarla keeps your old page addresses where it can and redirects the ones that change, helping you keep the Google standing you've built.

Before you spend $5,000 on a website and SEO agency, give Zarla 30 seconds.

Finish the sentence with your town. Zarla's AI designs your site from it.
