Cloudflare domains connect to Zarla like any other — with one Cloudflare-specific switch to flip: the orange cloud must be OFF for the records you add.
Step 1 — Get your records from Zarla
- In the sidebar, click Site settings → Domain → Manage domain →.
- Click Connect existing and type your domain.
- Zarla shows the three records to add. Keep this tab open.
Step 2 — Add them at Cloudflare
- Log in to your Cloudflare dashboard and select your domain.
- Go to DNS → Records.
- Click Add record and enter each record exactly as Zarla shows it.
- Important: set Proxy status to DNS only (the grey cloud, not the orange one) for the records you add. With the orange cloud on, Cloudflare sits in front of your site and Zarla can't finish the connection or issue your HTTPS certificate.
- Delete any old records of the same type pointing somewhere else.
Step 3 — Verify in Zarla
Back in Zarla, click I've updated my DNS records. Cloudflare changes usually apply fast — often within minutes — but allow up to 48 hours. HTTPS is handled automatically once verified.
