Connect an IONOS domain

IONOS (formerly 1&1) domains connect to Zarla with a quick edit in the IONOS control panel.

Step 1 — Get your records from Zarla

1. In the sidebar, click Site settings → Domain → Manage domain →.
2. Click Connect existing and type your domain.
3. Zarla shows the three records to add. Keep this tab open.

Step 2 — Add them at IONOS

1. Log in to IONOS and open Domains & SSL.
2. Click your domain, then open the DNS section.
3. Add each record exactly as Zarla shows it.
4. IONOS tip: new domains usually come with an existing record pointing at an IONOS parking page — delete or edit that one first, or your domain will keep showing the parking page instead of your site.

Step 3 — Verify in Zarla

Back in Zarla, click I've updated my DNS records. Verification usually completes within minutes; allow up to 48 hours for changes to spread. HTTPS is set up automatically once verified.
