Connect a Namecheap domain

Connecting a Namecheap domain to Zarla takes a few minutes: Zarla gives you the records, Namecheap's Advanced DNS tab is where they go.

Step 1 — Get your records from Zarla

  1. In the sidebar, click Site settingsDomainManage domain →.
  2. Click Connect existing and type your domain.
  3. Zarla shows the three records to add. Keep this tab open.

Step 2 — Add them at Namecheap

  1. Log in to Namecheap and go to Domain List, then click Manage next to your domain.
  2. Open the Advanced DNS tab.
  3. Use Add New Record to add each record exactly as Zarla shows it.
  4. Remove any existing records of the same type that point elsewhere (Namecheap's default "parking page" records, for example).

Namecheap tip: the Advanced DNS tab only works when your domain's Nameservers setting (on the Domain tab) is "Namecheap BasicDNS". If it's set to custom nameservers, your DNS lives wherever those point — update the records there instead.

Step 3 — Verify in Zarla

Back in Zarla, click I've updated my DNS records. Most connections verify within minutes; allow up to 48 hours for changes to spread. HTTPS is set up for you automatically.
