Most things people want to embed — videos, a Google map, an Instagram feed — are built-in sections in Zarla: no embed code needed. For everything else, there's a custom code box for snippets other services give you.
Videos — YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram
- In the editor, ask the AI: "Add a video section" (or click a section and use Add section).
- Click the new section and paste your video's link into the Video field — a normal share link is fine (a YouTube watch or Shorts link, a Vimeo link, a TikTok video link, or an Instagram post or Reel link).
Vertical videos (Shorts, TikToks, Reels) display in their upright shape automatically. Videos only load when a visitor presses play, so they don't slow your site down — YouTube videos show a preview image; other platforms show a play button. You can also paste the link straight into the chat: "add a video section with this link: …".
A Google map
Ask the AI: "Add a map section". It builds the map from your business address (or the area you serve) — you don't need a Google account or any embed code. There's also a layout that lists your service areas under the map, handy for trades.
Your Instagram feed
Ask the AI: "Add an Instagram feed section", then click the section and press Connect Instagram to sign in. Your latest posts appear on your site and stay current. If the connection expires later, the same panel shows a Reconnect Instagram button.
Already built in — no embedding needed
Booking calendars, contact forms, online payments, gift cards, and a blog feed are all native Zarla sections — see Available sections. Ad and analytics pixels have their own no-code setup: Add tracking & marketing pixels. A WhatsApp chat button lives in Apps.
Anything else — the custom code box
If another service gives you a code snippet (a live-chat bubble, a review widget, a marketing tool):
- In the sidebar, click Site settings and scroll to Tracking & Analytics.
- Click Advanced to expand it, and find Custom Code.
- Paste the snippet into Header code or Footer code (the service's instructions say which — if they don't, use Footer code) and click Save Custom Code.
- Custom code runs on your live site only — if your site is already live, click Publish Changes (top right) to push it out.
Two things to know:
- Custom code loads on every page of your site, and works best for page-level extras — floating chat buttons, popups, analytics. It can't place a widget inside one specific section of a page.
- Only paste code from services you trust. Bad code can break your site or slow it down — if something goes wrong, delete the snippet, save, and publish again.
