Get a professional email address with your domain

Zarla doesn't include email hosting today — for a professional address like you@yourbusiness.com, we recommend Google Workspace. It runs happily alongside your Zarla website on the same domain: your site and your email don't interfere with each other.

Why Google Workspace

It's Gmail on your own domain — the same inbox you already know, plus Calendar, Drive, and Meet, with Google's spam protection. It's what we'd choose for our own business, and it works with any domain connected to a Zarla site.

Set it up

  1. Go to workspace.google.com and sign up using your domain (the same one your Zarla site uses).
  2. Google's setup wizard asks you to prove you own the domain and to add mail records (called MX records). The wizard shows you exactly which records to add — you don't need to work anything out.
  3. Where to add them depends on how you got your domain:
    • You connected a domain you already own: add Google's records at your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, and so on) — the same place you added Zarla's records when you connected your domain. Google's mail records sit alongside Zarla's website records without touching them.
    • You bought your domain through Zarla: email hello@zarla.com with the records Google gives you, and we'll add them to your domain for you.

What happens next

Google confirms the records — usually within minutes, though changes can take up to 48 hours to spread across the internet. Once confirmed, your new address is live. Your website keeps working normally the whole time — mail records and website records are separate things.
