COMPARED OCTOBER 2026
Best website builders for DJs (2026)
We scored 5 website builders on the 9 things a DJ business needs, the same way for all of them, including Zarla, which is ours.
Free to build · Pay when you publish
What's the best website builder for a DJ?
For most DJs, Wix is the best website builder: it scored highest, 15 of 18 across the nine tests we ran on five builders, and it does the most for inquiries, mixes and deposits (level with GoDaddy).
If getting found on Google matters most to you, pick Zarla. GoDaddy (13) is close behind.
The full scores are below, with every builder's weak spot, ours included.
What Zarla builds for a DJ business: Zarla's DJ website builder.

Zarla for DJs, in plain facts
Zarla is an AI website builder for small businesses. Describe your DJ business in a sentence and it writes the whole site, every page and every word, in about 30 seconds; after that you change it by typing what you want.
- Customers book online and pay a deposit, through your own Stripe account.
- Price: Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.
- Page speed: in our sample of real sites (Google PageSpeed, measured September 28, 2026), Zarla had the fastest median of the five builders here, 86 on phone and 99 on desktop. The samples differ (theirs are sites that rank on Google, ours random customer sites), as the method below explains.
An event inquiry form comes on the first draft; the date, venue and guest-count fields are added by asking in chat.
No music player built in: your videos play on the page, and your mixes play from a Mixcloud or SoundCloud embed pasted into the Custom Code box.
In this comparison: second of five, with 14 of 18 points.

When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.
WHICH ONE FITS
Which builder fits your business?
For each kind of business, the builders that scored highest on the tests that matter most to it, from the same table. Where three or more are level, we list them as level rather than pick one.
| Your business | Top scorers | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding and event DJs who book dates from the site | Wix or GoDaddy | 6 of 6 on "Event inquiries with the date, venue and guest count", "Your mixes play on the page" and "Book online, with a deposit", the top score on these tests. |
| Mobile DJs found by couples and party hosts searching in their city | Zarla | 4 of 6 on "Local search set up for you", "Search coaching" and "Fast pages, measured", the top score. |
| DJs who play every weekend and want the first draft written for them | Level: Wix, Zarla, WordPress.com | Three builders score 4 of 4 on "Finished first draft" and "Edit by chat, new pages by AI", so pick on what else matters to you; the table shows the differences. |
| DJs quoting each event and invoicing the balance | Level: Wix, Zarla, Squarespace | Three builders score 2 of 2 on "Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together", so pick on what else matters to you; the table shows the differences. |

What should a DJ business website include?
A couple, a planner or a bar manager looking at your site wants to hear you, see you at a packed dance floor, know what a night costs and ask whether you're free on their date, in that order.
- A mix they can play. Thirty seconds of your best set at the top of the page, and a clip of a full dance floor, because the sound is the sale.
- Packages with a starting price. Wedding, corporate and private party, each with the hours, the gear and what it starts at.
- An inquiry form that asks the right things. The date, the venue, the kind of event and the guest count, so the first reply is a quote and not a question.
- Real events and real reviews. Photos from weddings and parties you've played, the venues you've worked, and reviews from the couples.
- The date, held. A "check my date" button on every page, and a deposit that holds it once they say yes.
How did we score the website builders?
The 9 tests, and what it takes to get a tick:
- Event inquiries with the date, venue and guest count. Every booking starts with a date and a venue. Tick: an inquiry form that asks for the event details comes ready to use. Dash: you build one yourself from a general form.
- Your mixes play on the page. A couple or a promoter decides in the first thirty seconds of a mix. Tick: a music player built in, with your own tracks or mixes playing on the page. Dash: a pasted embed from Mixcloud, SoundCloud or Spotify. Cross: no way to play audio.
- Book online, with a deposit. Someone who can book the date and pay a deposit on the spot is someone who turns up. Tick: it comes with the website plan. Dash: it needs a second subscription or a plugin.
- Finished first draft. Weekends are for gigs and weekdays are for the next ones. The website shouldn't take either. Tick: it writes the whole site, pages and words, from a description of your business. Dash: templates, or AI that only writes some of it.
- Edit by chat, new pages by AI. A new package, a new venue you've played and this season's photos should take a sentence to add. Tick: you type a change and the site updates, and you can ask for a new page and get one.
- Local search set up for you. A couple searches for a wedding DJ in the city they're marrying in, and the one with clips, packages and a booking form from that city gets the inquiry. Tick: a map of the areas you cover, a page for each town, and your Google reviews on the site, all built in. Dash: some of that, or only with add-ons.
- Search coaching. Wedding DJ, corporate DJ and club DJ are separate searches, and each is a page worth having. Tick: something that checks your site and tells you what to fix, plus a Google Search Console connection that turns your search data into ideas for new pages. Dash: one of the two.
- Fast pages, measured. A couple scrolls DJs on a phone on a Saturday night and judges the first clip before it has finished loading. We measured this ourselves with Google's PageSpeed test on real sites built with each builder. Tick: a typical phone score of 90 or more, which Google calls good. Dash: 50 to 89. Cross: under 50.
- Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together. The quote for the night the client accepts online, the deposit that holds the date and the balance, in one place rather than three apps. Tick: a leads inbox, quotes your customers accept online, invoices and online payments, all built in. Dash: some of them, or only with plugins.
How we picked them. When we asked ChatGPT "What is the best website builder for a DJ? Give me your top 5." on October 26, 2026, twice, its answers named Squarespace, Bandzoogle, Wix, Strikingly, GoDaddy and WordPress. We score the general builders that appear on every page in this series, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy (its Websites + Marketing builder) and WordPress.com, whether ChatGPT named them this time or not. Zarla is ours. We haven't scored Bandzoogle and Strikingly on this page. Bandzoogle is a website builder made for musicians: its DJ page (read 26 October 2026) offers a music player, an EPK page preset, a live calendar, a mailing list and a "0% commission store", with a "Free 14 day trial, no credit card needed." and nothing about an AI first draft; it isn't scored on the trade pages. Strikingly isn't scored here. Yola's own page "The 5 best website builders for DJs" (last updated 6 October 2026), which ranks Yola first, says of its own builder: "No built-in availability calendar or booking tool, so open dates are confirmed by reply or through a tool you integrate".
How we scored them. Same tests for everyone, each worth the same. We checked every answer on the builder's own website and help pages on September 28, 2026, and the mixes play on the page test on October 24, 2026, and the leads, quotes, invoices and payments together test on October 4, 2026, and re-checked every answer on October 26, 2026. godaddy.com blocks automated reading of some of its pages, so where we couldn't open one, we read GoDaddy's page as Google indexes it. When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.
How we measured speed. Google's PageSpeed test, three runs each on phone and desktop, on up to ten real sites per builder. For the others we used the first sites built with them that came up in Google for home-service businesses in five US cities (for WordPress, any WordPress site). Zarla sites don't rank in those searches yet, so we picked ten at random from our customers' published sites and don't name them. It's a sample, not a promise about any one site.
What we didn't score. Price, because every plan bundles different things (each builder's own price is on its card, and Zarla's is on our pricing page), and how long it takes to get a site live, which we plan to time and add here. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.
Other trades. The same tests for cleaning businesses, junk removal companies, car detailing businesses, pressure washing businesses, plumbers, pet sitters and dog walkers, handyman businesses, construction companies, moving companies, remodelers, towing companies, tree service companies, painters, electricians, HVAC companies, roofing companies, landscapers, Christmas light installers, window tinting businesses, mobile mechanics, pool service companies, home care agencies, blinds and shutters companies, hair salons, restaurants, auto repair shops, barbershops, gyms, dog groomers, daycares, solar companies, life coaches, appliance repair businesses, notaries, consultants, tutoring businesses, laundromats, IT services companies, day spas, locksmiths, artists, nonprofits, therapists, musicians, car washes, gutter cleaning companies, wedding planners, food trucks, jewelry businesses, farms, tax preparers, churches, insurance agents, marketing agencies, videographers, architects, engineering firms, luxury real estate agents, bars, car dealerships, graphic designers, online stores, foundations, tattoo artists, software companies, retail stores.
Questions owners ask
A mix that plays at the top of the page, a clip of a full dance floor, your packages with a starting price, an inquiry form that asks for the date, the venue and the guest count, photos and reviews from events you've played, and a "check my date" button on every page. Our guide to becoming a DJ covers the gear, the first paid gig and what DJs charge, and our DJ business plan the numbers.
The lists Google shows for that search are design showcases: Colorlib's "23 Best DJ Websites" (18 March 2026) and Strikingly's gallery, each a page of other DJs' sites to copy from. What the good ones share is the same five things as the checklist above: a mix that plays, event photos, packages, a form that asks the date and a way to hold it. None of those lists scores the builders on what a booking needs, which is what the table on this page does; for the look, our DJ website builder page shows the first draft Zarla writes.
It's the floor of the standard range. In the US, as our DJ guide reports The Knot's study, standard bookings run $100 to $200 an hour and in-demand DJs charge $300 and up, with a budget tier of $500 to $999 for new DJs and shorter events; the wedding companies that print their rates work out at $250 to $532 an hour, and the national average a couple paid in 2025 was $1,800. Put your packages and a starting price on the site: a couple who can see it asks, and one who can't books the DJ who printed theirs. Every builder here can put a price table on a page; Zarla adds it when you type it in chat.
Price the event, not the hour. In the US, the wedding DJs who print their rates charge from $900 for a three-hour reception in Charleston to $1,595 in Provo, and $1,000 for four hours with a $200 deposit in Ohio, as our DJ guide reports them; for a private party or a bar, three hours at the standard $100 to $200 an hour is $300 to $600 plus travel. Quote it as one price with a deposit that holds the date; the deposit test above shows which builders take that deposit on the site.
Wix, on these tests: 15 of 18 to Squarespace's 12. Both write a first draft with AI and both play your mixes on the page, Wix with its Wix Music app and Squarespace with an audio block; the difference is the inquiry form, the deposit and the chat: Wix has a price-quote form template ready to use, takes a deposit on a booking from its Core plan and edits and adds pages by chat, where Squarespace's forms are general blocks with no template, its deposits run in Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription, and its AI chat edits text and images but adds no pages. A visual artist's needs are different, and our best website builders for artists scores the gallery, the store and the newsletter instead. The table above has every mark, and the order is computed from them rather than chosen, so read the scores rather than take our word for it.
Not for the first bookings. DJ booking software such as DJ Event Planner runs contracts, planning forms and timelines once you're doing several events a weekend, and it isn't scored here because it doesn't build a website. ChatGPT's own caveat, asked on October 26, 2026, was the same: "One important distinction: a website builder is not necessarily a DJ booking management system, so check whether you need availability calendars, contracts, deposits or client management before committing to a plan." The deposit test above scores the website's half, whether a client can hold the date with a deposit on the site itself.
On most of them. Zarla, Wix (from its Core plan) and GoDaddy take bookings on the website plan; Squarespace needs Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription, and WordPress.com a booking plugin. Zarla and GoDaddy take the deposit as part of the booking, Wix from its Core plan, and on Squarespace the deposit runs in Acuity.
Asked twice on October 26, 2026, ChatGPT put Squarespace first once and Bandzoogle first once, with Wix and GoDaddy both times, Strikingly in one answer and WordPress in the other; it didn't name Zarla, though its second answer cited our musicians guide. Its sources were WebsiteBuilderReport's DJ page (1 April 2026), MusicRadar's musicians list (23 February 2026) and Yola's own list (last updated October 6, 2026), which ranks Yola first and names its limits: "No built-in availability calendar or booking tool, so open dates are confirmed by reply or through a tool you integrate" and "No native invoicing and no social feed block, so deposits go through a payment tool you link to and your social profiles stay links". Bandzoogle's own DJ page offers a music player, an EPK page preset, a live calendar, a mailing list and a "0% commission store". None of those pages scores the builders on the same tests; the table above does, and Bandzoogle and Strikingly aren't scored here.
With Zarla, the first draft takes about 30 seconds: every page, written for your DJ business, including an inquiry form and a gallery. What's left is your mixes, your packages and photos from the dance floor. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and WordPress.com can also write a first draft with AI; how long the rest takes depends on how much you set up yourself. We haven't timed them side by side yet.
Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace and WordPress.com have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Zarla (no music player; videos play; paste a Mixcloud or SoundCloud embed). We read each on the builder's own pages on October 24, 2026, and re-checked them on October 26, 2026.
Wix, Zarla and GoDaddy have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Squarespace (deposits in Acuity, a separate subscription); WordPress.com (with a booking plugin). We read each on the builder's own pages on September 28, 2026, and re-checked them on October 26, 2026.
Building and previewing one can cost nothing on most builders; a live site on your own domain costs money on every builder here. Wix: Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. GoDaddy: Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. Squarespace: Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. WordPress.com: Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. Zarla is free to build and preview, and you pay when you publish, on the Premium plan. Each price is the builder's own, read on its pricing or help pages (September 28, 2026); check it for your country before you buy.
Wix has Price Quotes that clients accept online and that can turn into an invoice. Zarla sends a quote as one link: the customer picks an option, ticks any extras and accepts it, and Zarla drafts the invoice for what they chose, with any deposit you asked for, ready for you to send. GoDaddy sends invoices, with a payment schedule for deposits, but has no quotes built in. Squarespace sends estimates and proposals with an Accept button, from its Basic plan. WordPress.com needs a quote plugin from another company. For a DJ the quote is the price for the night: the leads, quotes, invoices and payments test above scores which builders let a client accept one online, and the deposit that holds the date is the first payment. We read each builder's quoting on its own pages on October 4, 2026.
Yes: Wix placed first of five here, with 15 of 18 points. Of the tests that are particular to DJs, it gets a tick on "Event inquiries with the date, venue and guest count", "Your mixes play on the page" and "Book online, with a deposit". The catch: bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.
