COMPARED SEPTEMBER 2026

We scored 5 website builders on the 9 things a flooring company needs, the same way for all of them, including Zarla, which is ours.

Free to build · Pay when you publish

Key takeaways

  • Zarla scored highest: 16 of 18 points across nine tests.
  • Wix is next, on 13.
  • Zarla is ours, so weigh that: its weak spots are in the table like everyone else's.
  • None of the five gets a tick on "Financing shown on the site".
  • Every competitor verdict comes from the builder's own pages, with the date we read it. When we asked ChatGPT, it named four of these builders, Zarla included.

What's the best website builder for a flooring company?

For most flooring companies, Zarla is the best website builder: it scored highest, 16 of 18 across the nine tests we ran on five builders, and it does the most to get you found on Google and has a before-and-after slider built in (level with WordPress.com).

The full scores are below, with every builder's weak spot, ours included.

Zarla for flooring companies, in plain facts

Zarla is an AI website builder for small businesses. Describe your flooring company in a sentence and it writes the whole site, every page and every word, in about 30 seconds; after that you change it by typing what you want.

  • A quote form that asks for the job details comes on the first draft.
  • A before-and-after slider is built in: your own before and after photos in one frame, with a handle visitors drag.
  • Price: Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.
  • Page speed: in our sample of real sites (Google PageSpeed, measured September 28, 2026), Zarla had the fastest median of the five builders here, 86 on phone and 99 on desktop. The samples differ (theirs are sites that rank on Google, ours random customer sites), as the method below explains.

No financing calculator built in: you paste one from another company into the Custom Code box.

In this comparison: first of five, with 16 of 18 points.

THE SCORES

How do website builders for flooring companies compare?

THE LIST

The best website builders for flooring companies, ranked

  1. 1

    Zarla

    Best for

Owners who care most about getting found on Google, or about a before-and-after slider.

    What it costs

Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.

    Features
    • Describe your flooring company in a sentence and Zarla writes a complete first draft in about 30 seconds, with a quote form and a page for each town you list
    • A quote request form that asks for the rooms and the floor they want, and homeowners can book a measure online, synced to your Google Calendar
    • A Before & After section where homeowners drag to compare your own photos of a room
    The Catch

There's no financing calculator built in, so your lender's calculator or apply link goes in from the Custom Code box, and Zarla doesn't measure rooms, run takeoffs or order material; flooring software such as Measure Square or RFMS does. It's also the newest name here.

  2. 2

    Wix

    Best for

A strong all-rounder if you like building and fine-tuning the site yourself.

    What it costs

Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • An AI builder that writes your pages from a description
    • Aria, an AI agent in the Harmony editor that edits the site and adds pages by chat
    • Wix Bookings with online payments and deposits
    The Catch

Bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.

  3. 3

    WordPress.com

    Best for

Owners who care most about a before-and-after slider.

    What it costs

Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • An AI website builder on paid plans
    • An AI assistant that edits and creates pages, on every paid plan
    • Thousands of plugins
    The Catch

Booking, reviews and invoices each come from a plugin you choose, may pay for and keep updated, so the setup and upkeep are on you. Photo uploads on forms need the Business plan.

  4. 4

    GoDaddy

    Best for

Handy if you already get your domain and email from GoDaddy.

    What it costs

Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • Airo writes a first website for your business in Websites + Marketing
    • Online appointments with a deposit
    • Photo attachments on the contact form
    The Catch

Editing by chat, and asking the AI for new pages later, happen in Airo AI Builder, a separate GoDaddy product with its own credits; in Websites + Marketing, pages for each town you serve are yours to write.

  5. 4

    Squarespace

    Best for

Good if polished design matters most and you don't mind adding a separate booking tool.

    What it costs

Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • Blueprint AI writes a multi-page starting site
    • Design-led templates
    • Invoices and online payments on every plan
    The Catch

Online booking is a second subscription, Acuity Scheduling, on top of the website plan, and it's managed in a different place.

What should a flooring company website include?

A homeowner is deciding whether you install the floor they want, roughly what it costs and whether your work looks good in a house like theirs. The site answers all three on a phone, then takes the request for a measure.

  • Each floor you install. Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet and refinishing, with what each suits and roughly what it costs installed.
  • Real rooms, before and after. Your own photos of finished rooms, and before-and-after pairs of the same room for refinishes and replacements.
  • The measure and the estimate. How the free measure works, what the estimate includes (removal, subfloor prep, stairs), and a form that asks for the rooms and the floor.
  • Financing. Who you finance through and how a homeowner applies, with the terms written the way the lender requires.
  • Where you work, and your guarantees. The towns you cover, your license and insurance where your state requires them, the brands you're certified for and the workmanship you stand behind.

How did we score the website builders?

The 9 tests, and what it takes to get a tick:

  • Estimate requests with the room details. Almost every flooring job starts with a measure and an estimate. Tick: a request form that asks for the job details comes ready to use. Dash: you build one yourself from a general form.
  • Financing shown on the site. A new floor through the whole downstairs is a big purchase, and a monthly figure is what lets many homeowners say yes. Tick: a payment calculator built into the builder. Dash: you add one from an app, a plugin or pasted code. Cross: there's no way to add one.
  • Before-and-after slider. Homeowners judge a refinish or a new floor by the room it replaced, and a before-and-after pair of the same room is what they compare. Tick: a before-and-after slider is built into the builder, with both photos in one frame and a handle visitors drag. Dash: none built in, so you add one from an app or plugin, or as custom code (some editors' AI can write that code for you). Cross: there's no way to add one. This test is only about the slider: an ordinary photo gallery can still show the two photos side by side.
  • Finished first draft. Measures, installs and supplier runs fill the week. The first draft should take less time than one living room of plank. Tick: it writes the whole site, pages and words, from a description of your business. Dash: templates, or AI that only writes some of it.
  • Edit by chat, new pages by AI. A new line of waterproof plank, a refinishing special, another town: say it in a sentence and the page changes the same day. Tick: you type a change and the site updates, and you can ask for a new page and get one.
  • Local search set up for you. "Flooring installation near me", "hardwood refinishing" and "LVP installers" with the town's name are the searches, and a homeowner calls the company with reviews and their town on the page. Tick: a map of the areas you cover, a page for each town, and your Google reviews on the site, all built in. Dash: some of that, or only with add-ons.
  • Search coaching. Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet and refinishing are separate searches, and each floor is a page worth having. Tick: something that checks your site and tells you what to fix, plus a Google Search Console connection that turns your search data into ideas for new pages. Dash: one of the two.
  • Fast pages, measured. A homeowner comparing installers on a phone, standing on the old floor, gives the page a few seconds, and the floor photos are the heaviest thing on it. We measured this ourselves with Google's PageSpeed test on real sites built with each builder. Tick: a typical phone score of 90 or more, which Google calls good. Dash: 50 to 89. Cross: under 50.
  • Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together. The estimate, the materials deposit and the final invoice belong in one place, with the measure notes beside them. Tick: a leads inbox, quotes your customers accept online, invoices and online payments, all built in. Dash: some of them, or only with plugins.

How we picked them. When we asked ChatGPT "best website builder for flooring businesses" on November 3, 2026, twice, its answers named Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Yola, Zarla and Jobber. We score the general builders that appear on every page in this series, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy (its Websites + Marketing builder) and WordPress.com, whether ChatGPT named them this time or not. Zarla is ours. We haven't scored Yola and Jobber on this page. Yola, which ChatGPT named, is scored on our dog groomers, daycares and car washes guides; Jobber, which ChatGPT also named, Houzz Pro and Hostinger, which Gemini named, are answered below in their own words rather than scored here; Webflow, which the AI Overview also named, is scored on our best AI website builders comparison. ChatGPT's second answer on November 3, 2026 named Zarla fourth, as its "(Best flooring-specific option)", citing our flooring builder page.

How we scored them. Same tests for everyone, each worth the same. We checked every answer on the builder's own website and help pages on September 28, 2026, and the financing shown on the site test on October 12, 2026, and the before-and-after slider test on October 2, 2026, and the leads, quotes, invoices and payments together test on October 4, 2026. We re-read Wix's forms article, its Loan Calculator app and its Before And After Slider app, Squarespace's form-blocks, code-blocks and gallery-blocks articles, and WordPress.com's form-block, calculator plugins and Image Compare block pages on November 3, 2026, and the verdicts held; godaddy.com's help pages refused automated reads, so GoDaddy's answers were not re-read and keep their earlier dates. When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.

How we measured speed. Google's PageSpeed test, three runs each on phone and desktop, on up to ten real sites per builder. For the others we used the first sites built with them that came up in Google for home-service businesses in five US cities (for WordPress, any WordPress site). Zarla sites don't rank in those searches yet, so we picked ten at random from our customers' published sites and don't name them. It's a sample, not a promise about any one site.

What we didn't score. Price, because every plan bundles different things (each builder's own price is on its card, and Zarla's is on our pricing page), and how long it takes to get a site live, which we plan to time and add here. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.

Questions owners ask

What should a flooring company website have?

Each floor you install with what it suits and roughly what it costs installed, real photos of finished rooms with before-and-after pairs of the same room, how the free measure works and what the estimate includes, a request form that asks for the rooms and the floor, who you finance through and how to apply, the towns you cover, your license and insurance where your state requires them, real reviews, and a call button on every page. The estimate, financing and before-and-after tests above show which builders do those without another tool. Our flooring website builder page covers what Zarla's first draft includes and what it doesn't.

Do I need Houzz Pro, Jobber or a flooring marketing agency instead of a website builder?

Only if you want someone else to build it, or you already run your jobs in Jobber. Houzz Pro's flooring website page, read on November 3, 2026, says "Our team of web-design experts take web developing off your plate for good." and offers a demo or a free trial (its pricing page was down when we read it). Jobber's website builder "is included with every Jobber plan at no additional cost.", and its pricing page, read through a page-reading service, lists Core for one user from $29 a month billed annually; ChatGPT's note on it was "The website depends on maintaining an active subscription." Hostinger, which Gemini named, prints a promotional "$ 1.99 /mo", paid up front ("Today you pay $95.52 for 48 months."), that "Renews at $10.99/mo for the same term." Yola, which ChatGPT named, ranks itself first on its own flooring list at "$9.95 USD/mo". Agencies such as Blue Corona build custom WordPress sites and quote by the size of the business. None of them is scored here. The usual split: job software and agencies run the leads and the marketing for you; a website builder gives you the site and the request form to run yourself, and the five above are scored on what a flooring company needs from it.

Which website builder do ChatGPT, Gemini and Google recommend for a flooring company?

Wix, Squarespace and WordPress on most answers, with Houzz Pro for contractors, and ChatGPT named Zarla once. When we asked ChatGPT "best website builder for flooring businesses" on November 2, 2026, twice with web search on, it named Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, GoDaddy and Yola, without naming Zarla in either answer; Gemini named Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Houzz Pro and GoDaddy, and Google's AI Mode Houzz Pro, Wix, Squarespace and GoDaddy. Asked again on November 3, 2026, ChatGPT's first answer narrowed it to "Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and Yola": Wix for its "Great balance of professional design, flexibility, and lead generation.", Squarespace "Best for a high-end, professional appearance.", WordPress "Best for long-term Google rankings and customization." and Yola "Best for simplicity and affordability." Its second ranked Wix "(Best overall)", WordPress "(Best for SEO growth)", Squarespace "(Best visual design)", Zarla fourth as its "(Best flooring-specific option)", "Worth testing if you want a quick website without doing much design work.", citing our flooring builder page and an older zarla.com flooring address, and Jobber "(Best for managing leads and jobs)". Gemini ranked "Squarespace — Best Overall for Showcasing Portfolios", "Houzz Pro — Best All-in-One Platform for Flooring Contractors", "Wix or Hostinger (AI Builders) — Best Budget & Ease of Use" and "WordPress (with a local agency like Blue Corona) — Best for Dominating Local SEO"; AI Mode named "Squarespace (Best for Visual Appeal & Easy Setup)", "Wix (Best All-Rounder & Fast Launch)", "Houzz Pro (Best Industry-Specific Choice)" and WordPress with Elementor. Google's AI Overview named a template builder for "Quick, simple, and budget-friendly contractor websites." and Webflow for "Custom, high-end portfolios and showroom designs."; it didn't name Zarla, and no zarla.com page was on page one. The lists behind the answers: Website Builder Report (Matt Giles, "Updated April 2026") calls Squarespace "The right pick for most flooring installers"; BeltStack, which carries an affiliate disclosure, has Squarespace as its "Best overall fit"; Yola's own list puts Yola first; and eSEOspace (November 2, 2026) ranks "1. WordPress (self-hosted): the best long-term choice" and "2. Wix: the best all-in-one DIY builder". We read them all on November 3, 2026. Yola, Jobber, Houzz Pro, Hostinger and Webflow aren't scored here. On this page five builders are scored on the same nine tests, Zarla included, and the order above is computed from them: Zarla first on points, three ahead of Wix, and Zarla is ours, so the fits table and every mark in the table are there to check it.

Is Wix or Squarespace better for a flooring company?

Wix, on these tests: 13 of 18 to Squarespace's 11. Neither has a financing calculator built in (on Wix it's a third-party app such as its Loan Calculator, which says "Disclaimer: Provided values are approximate."; on Squarespace it's pasted code, and "To add JavaScript or an iframe to a code block, your site needs to be on the Core, Plus, or Advanced plan."), neither has a before-and-after slider built in, and both write a first draft with AI. The two points between them are the estimate form and the chat: Wix Forms come in templates including "price quotes", where Squarespace's form blocks are general forms you build yourself (they can take a photo: "if you add a file upload field , you can set how many files you accept and what types."), and its AI chat adds no pages (read November 3, 2026). The lists lean the other way: Website Builder Report and BeltStack put Squarespace first for its looks, and Wix second. Every mark is in the table, and the order is computed from them rather than chosen.

Can I advertise financing on my flooring website?

In the US, yes, and the words you use decide what else the page must say. For a loan paid back in set installments, the Truth in Lending rule on advertising, 12 CFR 1026.24 (read on November 3, 2026), says "If any of the following terms is set forth in an advertisement, the advertisement shall meet the requirements of paragraph (d)(2) of this section:" and lists "The amount or percentage of any downpayment.", "The number of payments or period of repayment.", "The amount of any payment." and "The amount of any finance charge." Once one of those is on the page, such as a monthly payment or a number of months, the page must also give "The amount or percentage of the downpayment.", the terms of repayment and the annual percentage rate, "using that term", and the rule covers "an electronic advertisement (such as an advertisement appearing on an Internet Web site)". A general line that financing is available, with no figures, names none of those terms. A store credit card or a no-interest-if-paid-in-full promotion is open-end credit, which has its own advertising section, 12 CFR 1026.16, with its own wording for deferred interest. Most flooring companies finance through a lender, so use the lender's own approved wording and calculator, which on every builder here goes in as an app, an embed or pasted code. Your state may add its own rules. Outside the US, your country's consumer credit rules apply instead. Check the wording with your lender before you publish.

Which website builders have a before-and-after slider?

Zarla and WordPress.com have one built in. In Zarla you switch a photo gallery to its before-and-after layout, and your own photos of a room before and after its new floor show in one frame with a handle visitors drag; WordPress.com has an Image Compare block. Wix, Squarespace and GoDaddy don't have one built in: on Wix you install a third-party app from its App Market or ask the AI in its Harmony editor to write one, and on Squarespace (from its Core plan, as a plugin or pasted code) and GoDaddy you add code from another company.

Is this the right guide for a remodeler or a tile installer?

Close, but each has its own page. A remodeler who takes on kitchens and whole rooms reads our best website builders for remodelers, and a general contractor reads our best website builders for construction companies. This page scores what a flooring company needs: the estimate request, financing and the before-and-after. A hardwood refinisher, a carpet and plank installer and a flooring store that installs all read this one, and so does a tile installer who mostly lays floors.

How long does it take to make a flooring company website?

With Zarla, the first draft takes about 30 seconds: every page, written for your flooring company, including a quote form and, when you list your towns, a page for each one. What's left is your floor types, your prices and your before-and-after photos. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and WordPress.com can also write a first draft with AI; how long the rest takes depends on how much you set up yourself. We haven't timed them side by side yet.

Which website builders come with an estimate request form?

Zarla, Wix and GoDaddy have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on WordPress.com (form templates; AI builds a custom form); Squarespace (general form block; no quote template). We read each on the builder's own pages on September 28, 2026.

Which website builders have a financing calculator built in?

None of the builders here has it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Zarla (no calculator built in; paste another company's); Wix (calculator apps from other companies); WordPress.com (calculator plugins, on paid plans); GoDaddy (pasted code in an HTML section); Squarespace (pasted code in a code block). We read each on the builder's own pages on October 12, 2026.

How much does a flooring company website cost?

Building and previewing one can cost nothing on most builders; a live site on your own domain costs money on every builder here. Wix: Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. WordPress.com: Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. GoDaddy: Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. Squarespace: Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. Zarla is free to build and preview, and you pay when you publish, on the Premium plan. Each price is the builder's own, read on its pricing or help pages (September 28, 2026); check it for your country before you buy.

Which website builders let customers accept a quote online?

Zarla sends a quote as one link: the customer picks an option, ticks any extras and accepts it, and Zarla drafts the invoice for what they chose, with any deposit you asked for, ready for you to send. Wix has Price Quotes that clients accept online and that can turn into an invoice. WordPress.com needs a quote plugin from another company. GoDaddy sends invoices, with a payment schedule for deposits, but has no quotes built in. Squarespace sends estimates and proposals with an Accept button, from its Basic plan. Job-management software such as Jobber and Housecall Pro goes further: the customer can pay the deposit as they approve the quote. We read each builder's quoting on its own pages on October 4, 2026.

Is Wix good for a flooring company?

Yes, it's one of the stronger choices: Wix placed second of five here, with 13 of 18 points. Of the tests that are particular to flooring companies, it gets a tick on "Estimate requests with the room details". The catch: bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.
