What's the best website builder for a videographer?
For most videographers, Wix is the best website builder: it scored highest, 15 of 18 across the nine tests we ran on five builders, and it does the most for the gallery, inquiries and deposits (level with GoDaddy).
If getting found on Google matters most to you, pick Zarla. GoDaddy (13) is close behind.
The full scores are below, with every builder's weak spot, ours included.

Zarla for videographers, in plain facts
Zarla is an AI website builder for small businesses. Describe your videography business in a sentence and it writes the whole site, every page and every word, in about 30 seconds; after that you change it by typing what you want.
- Customers book online and pay a deposit, through your own Stripe account.
- Price: Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.
- Page speed: in our sample of real sites (Google PageSpeed, measured September 28, 2026), Zarla had the fastest median of the five builders here, 86 on phone and 99 on desktop. The samples differ (theirs are sites that rank on Google, ours random customer sites), as the method below explains.
Your reel and films play on the page from a video section, and the stills gallery is laid out for you, but there's no tap-to-enlarge view yet: a visitor sees each still at the size the layout gives it.
An inquiry form comes on the first draft; the date, venue and budget fields are added by asking in chat.
In this comparison: second of five, with 14 of 18 points.

When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.
WHICH ONE FITS
Which builder fits your business?
For each kind of business, the builders that scored highest on the tests that matter most to it, from the same table. Where three or more are level, we list them as level rather than pick one.
| Your business | Top scorers | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding and event videographers who sell on the reel and hold the date with a deposit | Wix or GoDaddy | 6 of 6 on "Stills in a gallery that opens full size", "Inquiries with the date, venue and budget" and "Book online, with a deposit", the top score on these tests. |
| Videographers found by couples and businesses searching in their own city | Zarla | 4 of 6 on "Local search set up for you", "Search coaching" and "Fast pages, measured", the top score. |
| Filmmakers between edits who want the first draft written for them | Level: Wix, Zarla, WordPress.com | Three builders score 4 of 4 on "Finished first draft" and "Edit by chat, new pages by AI", so pick on what else matters to you; the table shows the differences. |
| Studios sending packages, deposits and final invoices from one place | Level: Wix, Zarla, Squarespace | Three builders score 2 of 2 on "Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together", so pick on what else matters to you; the table shows the differences. |

What should a videography business website include?
A couple, a planner or a marketing manager looking at your site wants to see the work in the first ten seconds, know what a film costs and ask whether you're free on their date, before anything else.
- The reel above the fold. Your best sixty to ninety seconds, hosted on Vimeo or YouTube and playing on the page, with three full films behind it.
- Packages with a starting price. Highlight film, full feature and corporate, each with the hours, the deliverables and what it starts at.
- An inquiry form that asks the right things. The date, the venue, the kind of film and the budget band, so the first reply is a quote and not a question.
- Stills and real reviews. Frames from the films a visitor can open full size, and reviews from the couples and clients in them.
- Your date, held. A "check my date" button on every page, and a deposit that holds it once they say yes.
How did we score the website builders?
The 9 tests, and what it takes to get a tick:
- Stills in a gallery that opens full size. Couples and brands choose the videographer whose frames look like the film they want. Tick: gallery layouts built in, and a visitor taps a still to see it full size. Dash: galleries with no full-size view, or only through an app. Cross: no gallery.
- Inquiries with the date, venue and budget. Every film starts with a date and a brief. Tick: an inquiry form that asks for those details comes ready to use. Dash: you build one yourself from a general form.
- Book online, with a deposit. Someone who can book the date and pay a deposit on the spot is someone who turns up. Tick: it comes with the website plan. Dash: it needs a second subscription or a plugin.
- Finished first draft. Shoot days and edit nights don't leave a week for a website. The first draft should take thirty seconds. Tick: it writes the whole site, pages and words, from a description of your business. Dash: templates, or AI that only writes some of it.
- Edit by chat, new pages by AI. A new film, a new package and this season's weddings should take a sentence to add. Tick: you type a change and the site updates, and you can ask for a new page and get one.
- Local search set up for you. A couple searches for a wedding videographer in the city they're marrying in, and a marketing manager for a video production company nearby; the one with films from that city gets the inquiry. Tick: a map of the areas you cover, a page for each town, and your Google reviews on the site, all built in. Dash: some of that, or only with add-ons.
- Search coaching. Wedding videography, corporate video and real estate video are separate searches, and each is a page worth having. Tick: something that checks your site and tells you what to fix, plus a Google Search Console connection that turns your search data into ideas for new pages. Dash: one of the two.
- Fast pages, measured. A couple scrolls videographers on a phone at night and judges the first frame before the reel has loaded. We measured this ourselves with Google's PageSpeed test on real sites built with each builder. Tick: a typical phone score of 90 or more, which Google calls good. Dash: 50 to 89. Cross: under 50.
- Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together. The package accepted online, the deposit that holds the date and the balance on delivery, without three logins. Tick: a leads inbox, quotes your customers accept online, invoices and online payments, all built in. Dash: some of them, or only with plugins.
How we picked them. When we asked ChatGPT "What is the best website builder for a videographer? Give me your top 5." on October 26, 2026, twice, its answers named Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Format and Pixpa. We score the general builders that appear on every page in this series, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy (its Websites + Marketing builder) and WordPress.com, whether ChatGPT named them this time or not. Zarla is ours. We haven't scored Webflow, Format and Pixpa on this page. Webflow is a design tool we score on our best AI website builders comparison, on that page's tests. Format and Pixpa are portfolio builders for creatives, read on their own pages on 26 October 2026: Format's videographer page says you can embed YouTube and Vimeo videos, offers "dozens of responsive templates" and a 14-day free trial with paid plans from $10 a month, and says nothing about an AI first draft or online booking; Pixpa calls itself "The portfolio website builder for photographers, artists and designers", with client galleries, a store and a blog, a 15-day free trial and plans its pricing page lists from $5.40 a month billed annually ($9 billed monthly). Neither is scored here. Yola's own page "The 5 best website builders for videographers" (last updated 7 October 2026), which ranks Yola first, says of its own builder: "No video player among the ready-made blocks, so your reel and films play on YouTube or Vimeo, opened from a button on your page."
How we scored them. Same tests for everyone, each worth the same. We checked every answer on the builder's own website and help pages on September 28, 2026, and the stills in a gallery that opens full size test on October 24, 2026, and the leads, quotes, invoices and payments together test on October 4, 2026, and re-checked every answer on October 26, 2026. godaddy.com blocks automated reading of some of its pages, so where we couldn't open one, we read GoDaddy's page as Google indexes it. When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.
How we measured speed. Google's PageSpeed test, three runs each on phone and desktop, on up to ten real sites per builder. For the others we used the first sites built with them that came up in Google for home-service businesses in five US cities (for WordPress, any WordPress site). Zarla sites don't rank in those searches yet, so we picked ten at random from our customers' published sites and don't name them. It's a sample, not a promise about any one site.
What we didn't score. Price, because every plan bundles different things (each builder's own price is on its card, and Zarla's is on our pricing page), and how long it takes to get a site live, which we plan to time and add here. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.

Questions owners ask
Your reel playing above the fold, three full films, packages with a starting price, an inquiry form that asks the date, the venue, the kind of film and the budget, stills a visitor can open full size, reviews from the clients in them and a "check my date" button on every page. Our guide to starting a videography business covers the gear, the first paid films and what to charge, our videographer business plan the numbers, and our videographer website inspiration gallery real videographer sites.
If you mean sites to copy, the lists Google shows are galleries: SiteBuilderReport's 65 videography sites (7 January 2026), Colorlib's 19 (25 September 2026) and Webflow's showcase. What the good ones share is a reel that plays at the top, three full films, packages and a form that asks the date; our videographer website inspiration gallery collects real videographer sites built that way. If you mean a builder, that's the table above, which scores five on what a booking needs.
For a videographer, Wix, on these tests: 15 of 18 to Squarespace's 12. Both write a first draft with AI and both open a gallery image full size, Wix in its Pro Gallery and Squarespace with a lightbox; the difference is the inquiry form and the deposit: Wix has a price-quote form template ready to use and takes a deposit on a booking from its Core plan, where Squarespace's forms are general blocks with no template and its deposits run in Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription. A photographer's tests are close to these, with client galleries in place of the reel; a photographer's own scored comparison isn't on this site yet. The table above has every mark, and the order is computed from them rather than chosen, so read the scores rather than take our word for it.
That search is editing software and stock sites rather than website builders, and none of it is scored here, because none builds the site a client finds on Google. Host the finished films on Vimeo or YouTube and play them on your own site; ChatGPT's advice, asked on October 26, 2026, was the same: "Regardless of which builder you choose, consider hosting your main films on Vimeo and embedding them on your site. That gives you more control over video presentation without relying entirely on your website plan's video-storage limits." Every builder on this page plays a hosted video on the page; the gallery test scores the stills around it.
It can be, and the website is where the margin is won. In the US, as our videography guide reports it, a wedding film runs $1,000 to $5,000, a lean start costs about $3,000 in gear and most videographers spend $3,000 to $12,000 to launch properly; the profit is in booking the dates that pay, which means a reel that plays, packages with a price and a form that asks the date. AI will do more of the editing each year; it won't be at the wedding, and the videographer whose site books the date from the reel keeps the work.
On most of them. Zarla, Wix (from its Core plan) and GoDaddy take bookings on the website plan; Squarespace needs Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription, and WordPress.com a booking plugin. Zarla and GoDaddy take the deposit as part of the booking, Wix from its Core plan, and on Squarespace the deposit runs in Acuity.
Asked twice on October 26, 2026, ChatGPT named the same five in the same order both times, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Format and Pixpa, and recommended Squarespace for most videographers; it didn't name Zarla. Its sources were BeVisible, Creative Bloq (31 August 2024) and Wix's own videographer list (7 September 2026). Yola's own list (last updated October 7, 2026) ranks Yola first and names its limits: "No video player among the ready-made blocks, so your reel and films play on YouTube or Vimeo, opened from a button on your page." and "No native booking or invoicing, so consultation calls, contracts and deposits run through third-party tools linked from the site." Format's own page offers YouTube and Vimeo embeds and a 14-day free trial with paid plans from $10 a month; Pixpa's pricing page lists its plans from $5.40 a month billed annually, after a 15-day free trial. None of those pages scores the builders on the same tests; the table above does, and Webflow, Format and Pixpa aren't scored here.
With Zarla, the first draft takes about 30 seconds: every page, written for your videography business, including an inquiry form, a gallery and a video section. What's left is your reel, your packages and stills from your films. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and WordPress.com can also write a first draft with AI; how long the rest takes depends on how much you set up yourself. We haven't timed them side by side yet.
Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace and WordPress.com have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Zarla (slideshow gallery and video sections; no tap-to-enlarge view). We read each on the builder's own pages on October 24, 2026, and re-checked them on October 26, 2026.
Wix, Zarla and GoDaddy have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Squarespace (deposits in Acuity, a separate subscription); WordPress.com (with a booking plugin). We read each on the builder's own pages on September 28, 2026, and re-checked them on October 26, 2026.
Building and previewing one can cost nothing on most builders; a live site on your own domain costs money on every builder here. Wix: Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. GoDaddy: Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. Squarespace: Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. WordPress.com: Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. Zarla is free to build and preview, and you pay when you publish, on the Premium plan. Each price is the builder's own, read on its pricing or help pages (September 28, 2026); check it for your country before you buy.
Wix has Price Quotes that clients accept online and that can turn into an invoice. Zarla sends a quote as one link: the customer picks an option, ticks any extras and accepts it, and Zarla drafts the invoice for what they chose, with any deposit you asked for, ready for you to send. GoDaddy sends invoices, with a payment schedule for deposits, but has no quotes built in. Squarespace sends estimates and proposals with an Accept button, from its Basic plan. WordPress.com needs a quote plugin from another company. For a videographer the quote is the package: the leads, quotes, invoices and payments test above scores which builders let a client accept one online, and the deposit that holds the date is the first payment. We read each builder's quoting on its own pages on October 4, 2026.
Yes: Wix placed first of five here, with 15 of 18 points. Of the tests that are particular to videographers, it gets a tick on "Stills in a gallery that opens full size", "Inquiries with the date, venue and budget" and "Book online, with a deposit". The catch: bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.
