THE LIST

The best website builders for car washes, ranked

  1. 1

    Zarla

    Best for

Owners who care most about getting found on Google.

    What it costs

Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.

    Features
    • Describe your wash in a sentence and Zarla writes a complete first draft in about 30 seconds, wash menu included
    • An unlimited-club sign-up form on the first draft, with every request in one leads inbox
    • Customers book a detail or a hand wash online and pay a deposit through your own Stripe
    The Catch

There's no monthly club billing yet, so the unlimited club is sold by a sign-up form on the site and charged in your wash software, and Zarla is newer than the big names. You change things by typing rather than dragging.

  2. 2

    Wix

    Best for

Owners who care most about the wash club and booked appointments.

    What it costs

Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • An AI builder that writes your pages from a description
    • Aria, an AI agent in the Harmony editor that edits the site and adds pages by chat
    • Wix Bookings with online payments and deposits
    The Catch

Bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.

  3. 3

    Squarespace

    Best for

Good if polished design matters most and you don't mind adding a separate booking tool.

    What it costs

Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • Blueprint AI writes a multi-page starting site
    • Design-led templates
    • Invoices and online payments on every plan
    The Catch

Online booking is a second subscription, Acuity Scheduling, on top of the website plan, and it's managed in a different place.

  4. 3

    WordPress.com

    Best for

For owners who want full control and don't mind choosing and looking after plugins.

    What it costs

Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • An AI website builder on paid plans
    • An AI assistant that edits and creates pages, on every paid plan
    • Thousands of plugins
    The Catch

Booking, reviews and invoices each come from a plugin you choose, may pay for and keep updated, so the setup and upkeep are on you. Photo uploads on forms need the Business plan.

  5. 5

    GoDaddy

    Best for

Handy if you already get your domain and email from GoDaddy.

    What it costs

Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • Airo writes a first website for your business in Websites + Marketing
    • Online appointments with a deposit
    • Photo attachments on the contact form
    The Catch

Editing by chat, and asking the AI for new pages later, happen in Airo AI Builder, a separate GoDaddy product with its own credits; in Websites + Marketing, pages for each town you serve are yours to write.

  6. 6

    Yola

    Best for

Owners who want a simple site with an AI first draft and already take bookings in another tool.

    What it costs

A free plan builds one site of two pages with a Yola banner. Personal, $9.95/mo billed yearly ($14.95 monthly), adds your own domain; Business, $19.95/mo billed yearly ($24.95 monthly), adds form file uploads and password-protected pages. A 30-day money-back guarantee. (their pricing page, checked 12 Oct 2026)

    Features
    • Yola AI drafts the home page from a description, then each page you add
    • Contact forms on every plan, with file uploads from the Business plan
    • Password-protected pages and custom code on the Business plan
    The Catch

There's no booking and no invoicing built in, by Yola's own account, so a detailing appointment runs through a scheduler you add and fleet billing in the system you already use.

What should a car wash website include?

A driver looks at your site for ten seconds from the gas station or the queue, so it has to answer what a wash costs, what the club costs, when you're open and where to turn in, before anything else.

  • The wash menu with prices. Each package and what's in it, the add-ons, and the price, written on the page rather than in a photo of the sign.
  • The unlimited club, with a sign-up button. The monthly price per package and how to join from a phone, because the club is the part of the business that pays every month.
  • Hours you can change fast. Today's hours and winter hours, and a note when the tunnel is closed for weather.
  • Where you are and what kind of wash. A map with directions, and whether you're an express tunnel, a self-serve bay or a hand wash with detailing.
  • A fleet form and real reviews. A form for fleet accounts with the vehicle count, and Google reviews on the page.

How did we score the website builders?

The 8 tests, and what it takes to get a tick:

  • An unlimited wash club billed every month. The club is the steady money, and a driver who can join from the queue joins. Tick: people sign up on the site and are charged automatically every month, built in. Dash: a sign-up form that goes to your wash software, an app, a plugin or another company's checkout.
  • Detailing and hand-wash appointments booked online. A full detail is booked ahead, and a customer who can pick a time at 10pm doesn't ring the next shop in the morning. Tick: they book a time on your site, on the website plan. Dash: it needs a second subscription, a plugin or another company's scheduler.
  • Finished first draft. A wash runs seven days a week. The website shouldn't take one of them. Tick: it writes the whole site, pages and words, from a description of your business. Dash: templates, or AI that only writes some of it.
  • Edit by chat, new pages by AI. Winter hours, a new top package and this month's club price change often. Updating them should take a sentence. Tick: you type a change and the site updates, and you can ask for a new page and get one.
  • Local search set up for you. "Car wash near me" is decided in the car, and the wash whose menu, hours and club price load first gets the turn-in. Tick: a map of the areas you cover, a page for each town, and your Google reviews on the site, all built in. Dash: some of that, or only with add-ons.
  • Search coaching. Hand wash, ceramic coating and fleet washing are separate searches, and each is a page worth having. Tick: something that checks your site and tells you what to fix, plus a Google Search Console connection that turns your search data into ideas for new pages. Dash: one of the two.
  • Fast pages, measured. A driver checking you from the gas station gives the page three seconds before they drive to the next wash. We measured this ourselves with Google's PageSpeed test on real sites built with each builder. Tick: a typical phone score of 90 or more, which Google calls good. Dash: 50 to 89. Cross: under 50.
  • Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together. A fleet account wants an invoice every month; a detailing customer wants to pay a deposit. One place for both. Tick: a leads inbox, quotes your customers accept online, invoices and online payments, all built in. Dash: some of them, or only with plugins.

How we picked them. When we asked ChatGPT "What is the best website builder for a car wash? Give me your top 5." on October 26, 2026, twice, its answers named Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, GoDaddy and Yola. We score the general builders that appear on every page in this series, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy (its Websites + Marketing builder) and WordPress.com, whether ChatGPT named them this time or not, plus Yola from its answer. Zarla is ours. Yola's own page "The 5 best website builders for car washes" (last updated 7 October 2026), which ranks Yola first, says of its own builder: "No native booking, so if you offer hand washes or detailing by appointment, a third-party scheduler has to be added to the page." Its booking mark here follows that. ChatGPT's second answer cited our car detailing guide as a source without naming Zarla.

How we scored them. Same tests for everyone, each worth the same. We checked every answer on the builder's own website and help pages on September 28, 2026, and the unlimited wash club billed every month test on October 12, 2026, and the leads, quotes, invoices and payments together test on October 4, 2026, and re-checked every answer on October 26, 2026. godaddy.com blocks automated reading of some of its pages, so where we couldn't open one, we read GoDaddy's page as Google indexes it. Yola's own site did the same with some pages, so we read those through a page-reading service, the help centre's public article feed, or as Google indexes them. When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.

How we measured speed. Google's PageSpeed test, three runs each on phone and desktop, on up to ten real sites per builder. For the others we used the first sites built with them that came up in Google for home-service businesses in five US cities (for WordPress, any WordPress site). Zarla sites don't rank in those searches yet, so we picked ten at random from our customers' published sites and don't name them. Yola joined later, so we ran the same PageSpeed test on October 12, 2026, on the five sites built with its current editor that we could find: we searched Google for sites on its own yolasite.com addresses and kept only pages that PageSpeed's own record shows loading that editor's files (most of the 52 we found were on its older editor), a search not limited to US businesses. It's a sample, not a promise about any one site.

What we didn't score. Price, because every plan bundles different things (each builder's own price is on its card, and Zarla's is on our pricing page), and how long it takes to get a site live, which we plan to time and add here. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.

Questions owners ask

What should a car wash website have?

The wash menu with prices written on the page, the unlimited club with its monthly price and a sign-up button, today's hours, a map with directions and what kind of wash you are, a fleet form, real reviews and a call button. Our guide to starting a car wash business covers the site, the equipment and the club economics.

What is the best website builder for a car detailing business?

A different page: detailing sells on the before-and-after and on a deposit for a booked appointment, so our best website builders for car detailing scores the slider, deposits and repeat bookings. This page scores what a wash needs instead, the unlimited club billed every month and appointments booked online. Google shows detailing results for the car wash search, which is why the two pages exist side by side; if you run a mobile detailing business with no tunnel, read that one.

Is $300 a lot for car detailing?

Not for a full detail on a larger vehicle. In the US, as our car detailing pricing guide reports them, most detailing businesses charge $180 to $350 for a full detail on a sedan and $230 to $500 on an SUV, truck or van, with a national average of about $220 for a sedan and $310 for an SUV or truck (QuoteIQ); $300 sits at the top of the sedan range and in the middle for an SUV. A ceramic coating is priced as a project, $900 to $2,500. If your wash offers details, the booking and deposit tests above show which builders take the appointment and the deposit on the site.

Is Wix or GoDaddy better for a car wash website?

Wix, on these tests: 13 of 16 to GoDaddy's 10. Both write a first draft with AI and both take bookings on the website plan, so the difference is the club and the office: Wix bills memberships weekly, monthly or yearly, edits and adds pages by chat, and keeps price quotes, invoices and payments together, where GoDaddy's help describes no recurring billing, its chat editing is a separate product and its invoices come with no quotes built in. The table above has every mark, and the order is computed from them rather than chosen, so read the scores rather than take our word for it.

Can ChatGPT actually create a website?

It can write the words, and owners often draft their wash menu and club pitch in it, but on its own it doesn't host or publish anything: you still need a builder or a web host to put the pages online, connect your domain and take the club sign-ups. The builders on this page do both halves, writing a first draft and hosting the result, and the first-draft and chat-editing tests above show how far each one's AI goes after the draft. If you've written your packages in ChatGPT already, paste them in; the builder's AI is for the layout, the pages and the changes.

Do I need wash-club software as well as a website?

If you run an express tunnel with license-plate readers, yes: wash-club and pay-station software such as DRB's SiteWatch runs the lane, the plate recognition and the recurring charge, and none of it is scored here because none builds a website. ChatGPT's own caveat, asked on October 26, 2026, was the same: "A website builder alone may not handle license-plate recognition, recurring billing or wash-lane access." The membership test above scores the website's half, whether a driver can join and be charged every month from the site itself; where the mark is a dash, the sign-up form on the site hands the charge to your wash software.

Can customers book a hand wash or a detail online?

On most of them. Zarla, Wix (from its Core plan) and GoDaddy take bookings on the website plan; Squarespace needs Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription, and WordPress.com a booking plugin. Yola has no booking built in, by its own account: a scheduler you add, linked from the page.

What do ChatGPT, Yola and the review sites say is the best website builder for a car wash?

Asked twice on October 26, 2026, ChatGPT named the same five both times, Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, GoDaddy and Yola, with Wix first once and Yola first once; it didn't name Zarla, though its second answer cited our car detailing guide on four of the five entries. Its sources were Yola's own list (last updated October 7, 2026), which ranks Yola first and names its limits, "No native invoicing, so monthly fleet billing runs through your current system or a third-party tool you link." and "No native booking, so if you offer hand washes or detailing by appointment, a third-party scheduler has to be added to the page.", and WebsiteBuilderReport (updated April 2026), which says "the best website builder for car washes is Squarespace". None of those pages scores the builders on the same tests, which is what the table above does; read the marks, not the names.

How long does it take to make a car wash website?

With Zarla, the first draft takes about 30 seconds: every page, written for your car wash, including your wash menu, a club sign-up form and, when you list your towns, a page for each one. What's left is your prices, your club rates and your hours. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and WordPress.com can also write a first draft with AI; how long the rest takes depends on how much you set up yourself. Yola's AI drafts the home page from your description, then each page you add. We haven't timed them side by side yet.

Which website builders sell an unlimited wash club billed every month?

Wix, Squarespace and WordPress.com have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Zarla (club sign-up form; monthly billing in your wash software); GoDaddy (no recurring billing in its help; another company's checkout); Yola (store subscriptions on its paid store plans; no club sign-up). We read each on the builder's own pages on October 12, 2026, and re-checked them on October 26, 2026.

Which website builders let customers book a detail online?

Zarla, Wix and GoDaddy have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Squarespace (Acuity Scheduling, a separate subscription); WordPress.com (with a booking plugin); Yola (date request form or a linked calendar; no booking built in). We read each on the builder's own pages on September 28, 2026 (Yola's on October 12, 2026), and re-checked them on October 26, 2026.

How much does a car wash website cost?

Building and previewing one can cost nothing on most builders; a live site on your own domain costs money on every builder here. Wix: Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. Squarespace: Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. WordPress.com: Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. GoDaddy: Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. Yola: A free plan builds one site of two pages with a Yola banner. Personal, $9.95/mo billed yearly ($14.95 monthly), adds your own domain; Business, $19.95/mo billed yearly ($24.95 monthly), adds form file uploads and password-protected pages. A 30-day money-back guarantee. Zarla is free to build and preview, and you pay when you publish, on the Premium plan. Each price is the builder's own, read on its pricing or help pages (September 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026); check it for your country before you buy.

Is Wix good for a car wash?

Yes, it's one of the stronger choices: Wix placed second of six here, with 13 of 16 points. Of the tests that are particular to car washes, it gets a tick on "An unlimited wash club billed every month" and "Detailing and hand-wash appointments booked online". The catch: bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.
