What's the best website builder for a life coach?

For most life coaches, Wix is the best website builder: it scored highest, 15 of 18 across the nine tests we ran on seven builders, and it does the most for sessions, packages and content (level with Kajabi).

If getting found on Google matters most to you, pick Zarla. WordPress.com (13) is close behind.

The full scores are below, with every builder's weak spot, ours included.

Zarla for life coaches, in plain facts

Zarla is an AI website builder for small businesses. Describe your life coaching business in a sentence and it writes the whole site, every page and every word, in about 30 seconds; after that you change it by typing what you want.

  • Customers book online or send you a request from your website, with no second booking subscription.
  • Price: Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.
  • Page speed: in our sample of real sites (Google PageSpeed, measured September 28, 2026; Kajabi's and Showit's on October 12, 2026), Zarla had the fastest median of the seven builders here, 86 on phone and 99 on desktop. The samples differ (theirs are sites that rank on Google, Kajabi's sites found on their own web addresses, Showit's sites found by searching for Showit, ours random customer sites), as the method below explains.

No monthly membership billing yet: you link or embed the software that bills your members.

A blog whose posts the AI writes, and a newsletter sign-up form, but no newsletter sending yet: you send it from an email tool.

In this comparison: second of seven, with 14 of 18 points.

Checked on each builder's own website and help pages on September 28, 2026, and the leads, quotes, invoices and payments together test on October 4, 2026, and re-checked every answer on October 12, 2026, the day Kajabi and Showit joined and all their answers were read; speed measured on September 28, 2026 (Kajabi's and Showit's on October 12, 2026). When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.

THE LIST

The best website builders for life coaches, ranked

  1. 1

    Wix

    Best for

Owners who care most about booked sessions, packages and a blog with a newsletter.

    What it costs

Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • An AI builder that writes your pages from a description
    • Aria, an AI agent in the Harmony editor that edits the site and adds pages by chat
    • Wix Bookings with online payments and deposits
    The Catch

Bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.

  2. 2

    Zarla

    Best for

Owners who care most about getting found on Google.

    What it costs

Free to build and preview. You pay when you publish, on the Premium plan, which includes booking, the leads inbox and invoices.

    Features
    • Describe your coaching in a sentence and Zarla writes a complete first draft in about 30 seconds
    • Clients book a session online and pay through your own Stripe
    • A blog whose posts the AI writes from a topic you give it
    The Catch

There's no monthly billing for programs and no newsletter sending yet, so those run in other tools, and a coaching first draft has no map or town pages. It's also newer than the big names.

  3. 3

    WordPress.com

    Best for

For owners who want full control and don't mind choosing and looking after plugins.

    What it costs

Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • An AI website builder on paid plans
    • An AI assistant that edits and creates pages, on every paid plan
    • Thousands of plugins
    The Catch

Booking, reviews and invoices each come from a plugin you choose, may pay for and keep updated, so the setup and upkeep are on you. Photo uploads on forms need the Business plan.

  4. 4

    GoDaddy

    Best for

Handy if you already get your domain and email from GoDaddy.

    What it costs

Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • Airo writes a first website for your business in Websites + Marketing
    • Online appointments with a deposit
    • Photo attachments on the contact form
    The Catch

Editing by chat, and asking the AI for new pages later, happen in Airo AI Builder, a separate GoDaddy product with its own credits; in Websites + Marketing, pages for each town you serve are yours to write.

  5. 4

    Squarespace

    Best for

Good if polished design matters most and you don't mind adding a separate booking tool.

    What it costs

Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. (their pricing page, checked 28 Sept 2026)

    Features
    • Blueprint AI writes a multi-page starting site
    • Design-led templates
    • Invoices and online payments on every plan
    The Catch

Online booking is a second subscription, Acuity Scheduling, on top of the website plan, and it's managed in a different place.

  6. 6

    Kajabi

    Best for

Owners who care most about booked sessions, packages and a blog with a newsletter.

    What it costs

Basic is $143/mo billed yearly ($179 monthly) for five products, 2,500 contacts and one website; Growth is $199/mo billed yearly ($249 monthly). No free plan; a 14-day free trial. (their pricing page, checked 12 Oct 2026)

    Features
    • A built-in scheduler and video calls for coaching sessions
    • Session packages, memberships and online courses, billed automatically
    • A blog, unlimited marketing emails and a contacts list
    The Catch

It's a course and membership platform with a website attached: the cheapest plan costs several times a website builder's, the site starts from a template rather than being written for you, and there are no quotes or local search tools.

  7. 7

    Showit

    Best for

Coaches who want a distinctive, hand-designed look and already use other tools for booking, payments and email.

    What it costs

Showit is $22/mo billed yearly ($27 monthly), without a blog; Showit & Basic Starter Blog is $27/mo billed yearly ($34 monthly). A 14-day free trial with no card; templates from its Design Market can cost extra. (their pricing page, checked 12 Oct 2026)

    Features
    • Drag-and-drop design with complete freedom, separately for phone and desktop
    • Designer-made templates in its Design Market, free and paid
    • A WordPress blog, hosted by Showit, on its Blog plans
    The Catch

It's a design tool, not a business tool: no AI, and booking, payments, memberships and email newsletters each come from another company's service pasted in. A blog needs one of its Blog plans, and many templates cost extra.

What should a life coaching business website include?

Someone looking for a coach is deciding whether to trust you with something personal, so the site has to say who you help, how it works and what it costs, then make the first call easy.

  • Who you help, and with what. The people you coach and the change they come for, in their words, not coaching jargon.
  • How it works. Session length, online or in person, how many sessions a program runs, and what happens between them.
  • Packages and prices. Single sessions, packages and monthly programs, with prices or a starting point.
  • Your story and training. Why you coach, any certification you hold, and what you're not (a therapist, if you aren't one).
  • A first step. A free discovery call to book on every page, and writing that shows how you think: a blog, a newsletter, or both.

How did we score the website builders?

The 9 tests, and what it takes to get a tick:

  • Clients book a session online. A discovery call booked online is a client who didn't have to email back and forth. Tick: clients book a call or a session on your site, on the website plan. Dash: it needs a second subscription, a plugin or another company's scheduler.
  • Packages and memberships, billed automatically. Coaching sells in packages and monthly programs. Tick: clients buy a package or membership on the site and recurring ones are charged automatically, built in. Dash: an app, a plugin or another company's checkout.
  • A blog and an email newsletter. Coaches often win clients with what they write and send. Tick: a blog and email newsletters you send to your subscribers, both built in on the website plan. Dash: one of them, or the other only from an add-on, a plugin or another company.
  • Finished first draft. Coaching hours are the ones you're paid for. The website shouldn't eat the rest. Tick: it writes the whole site, pages and words, from a description of your business. Dash: templates, or AI that only writes some of it.
  • Edit by chat, new pages by AI. Your packages, prices and the people you work with change as your practice grows. Updating them should take a sentence. Tick: you type a change and the site updates, and you can ask for a new page and get one.
  • Local search set up for you. Plenty of coaching happens online, but many clients still look for a coach near them, and that's a local search. Tick: a map of the areas you cover, a page for each town, and your Google reviews on the site, all built in. Dash: some of that, or only with add-ons.
  • Search coaching. Career coaching, relationship coaching and executive coaching are separate searches, and each is a page worth having. Tick: something that checks your site and tells you what to fix, plus a Google Search Console connection that turns your search data into ideas for new pages. Dash: one of the two.
  • Fast pages, measured. Many people look for a coach on their phone, often late in the evening. We measured this ourselves with Google's PageSpeed test on real sites built with each builder. Tick: a typical phone score of 90 or more, which Google calls good. Dash: 50 to 89. Cross: under 50.
  • Leads, quotes, invoices and payments together. Inquiries, invoices for packages and payments are easier to keep track of in one place. Tick: a leads inbox, quotes your customers accept online, invoices and online payments, all built in. Dash: some of them, or only with plugins.

How we picked them. When we asked ChatGPT "What is the best website builder for a life coach? Give me your top 5." on October 12, 2026, it named Squarespace, Wix, Kajabi, Showit and WordPress. We score the general builders that appear on every page in this series, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy (its Websites + Marketing builder) and WordPress.com, whether ChatGPT named them this time or not, plus Kajabi and Showit from its answer. Zarla is ours.

How we scored them. Same tests for everyone, each worth the same. We checked every answer on the builder's own website and help pages on September 28, 2026, and the leads, quotes, invoices and payments together test on October 4, 2026, and re-checked every answer on October 12, 2026, the day Kajabi and Showit joined and all their answers were read. godaddy.com blocks automated reading of some of its pages, so where we couldn't open one, we read GoDaddy's page as Google indexes it. When two builders tie on points, the one with fewer crosses goes first.

How we measured speed. Google's PageSpeed test, three runs each on phone and desktop, on up to ten real sites per builder. For the others we used the first sites built with them that came up in Google for home-service businesses in five US cities (for WordPress, any WordPress site). Zarla sites don't rank in those searches yet, so we picked ten at random from our customers' published sites and don't name them. Kajabi joined later, so we ran the same PageSpeed test on October 12, 2026, on ten sites on its own mykajabi.com addresses, found by searching Google for coaching sites there, a search not limited to US businesses. Showit joined later, so we ran the same PageSpeed test on October 12, 2026, on ten sites, two that came up in Google for daycares and life coaches in the same five US cities and eight found by searching Google for coaching sites made with Showit, some of them web designers' own sites. It's a sample, not a promise about any one site.

What we didn't score. Price, because every plan bundles different things (each builder's own price is on its card, and Zarla's is on our pricing page), and how long it takes to get a site live, which we plan to time and add here. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.

Other trades. The same tests for cleaning businesses, junk removal companies, car detailing businesses, pressure washing businesses, plumbers, pet sitters and dog walkers, handyman businesses, construction companies, moving companies, remodelers, towing companies, tree service companies, painters, electricians, HVAC companies, roofing companies, landscapers, Christmas light installers, window tinting businesses, mobile mechanics, pool service companies, home care agencies, blinds and shutters companies, hair salons, restaurants, auto repair shops, barbershops, gyms, dog groomers, daycares, solar companies.

Questions owners ask

What should a life coach website have?

Who you help and with what, how coaching with you works, your packages and prices, your story and any certification, testimonials from clients who agreed to share them, a blog or newsletter that shows how you think, and a free discovery call to book. Our guide to starting a life coaching business covers niches, pricing and the rest of the setup.

Do I need a course platform as well as a website?

Only if you sell courses. Kajabi, which ChatGPT also named, is a course platform with a website attached: courses with video lessons, quizzes and downloads, coaching packages, memberships and email, from $143 a month billed yearly. Showit has no courses built in; its help points to a WordPress course plugin on its Advanced Blog plan. If you coach one to one and sell packages, a website with booking and payments covers it. We didn't score online courses on this page.

How long does it take to make a life coaching business website?

With Zarla, the first draft takes about 30 seconds: every page, written for your life coaching business, including a contact form and a call-back request. What's left is your own photos, your packages and prices, and your story. Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and WordPress.com can also write a first draft with AI; how long the rest takes depends on how much you set up yourself. Kajabi starts from a template, with its AI writing page copy, and Showit from a template with no AI. We haven't timed them side by side yet.

Which website builders sell coaching packages billed every month?

Wix, WordPress.com, Squarespace and Kajabi have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Zarla (packages by payment link; no monthly billing); GoDaddy (no recurring billing in its help; another company's checkout); Showit (membership plugins, at extra cost). We read each on the builder's own pages on October 12, 2026.

Which website builders have a blog and an email newsletter built in?

A newsletter keeps you in front of people who aren't ready to book yet. Wix's built-in sending covers 200 emails a month; more needs its separate email plan. Wix, WordPress.com, GoDaddy and Kajabi have it built in. It takes another tool or a workaround on Zarla (AI blog and a sign-up form; no newsletter sending); Squarespace (blog; sending email is a separate subscription); Showit (WordPress blog on Blog plans; email by embed). We read each on the builder's own pages on October 12, 2026.

How much does a life coaching business website cost?

Building and previewing one can cost nothing on most builders; a live site on your own domain costs money on every builder here. Wix: Core, the cheapest plan with bookings, is $29/mo billed yearly. Light is $17/mo without bookings, and there's a free plan on a wixsite.com address. WordPress.com: Personal is $4/mo billed yearly; form file uploads need Business, $25/mo billed yearly. Plugins can add their own cost. GoDaddy: Websites + Marketing plans are priced by country, and GoDaddy's page didn't show us a US price, so check it for yours. Squarespace: Basic is $19/mo and Core $29/mo, billed yearly, after a 14-day free trial. Online booking is a separate Acuity Scheduling subscription. Kajabi: Basic is $143/mo billed yearly ($179 monthly) for five products, 2,500 contacts and one website; Growth is $199/mo billed yearly ($249 monthly). No free plan; a 14-day free trial. Showit: Showit is $22/mo billed yearly ($27 monthly), without a blog; Showit & Basic Starter Blog is $27/mo billed yearly ($34 monthly). A 14-day free trial with no card; templates from its Design Market can cost extra. Zarla is free to build and preview, and you pay when you publish, on the Premium plan. Each price is the builder's own, read on its pricing or help pages (September 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026); check it for your country before you buy.

Is Wix good for a life coaching business?

Yes: Wix placed first of seven here, with 15 of 18 points. Of the tests that are particular to life coaches, it gets a tick on "Clients book a session online", "Packages and memberships, billed automatically" and "A blog and an email newsletter". The catch: bookings need the Core plan rather than the cheapest one, and pages for each town you serve are yours to write.
